✿Chapter.22✿

"Now what do I have here."

The glimmer in the cracked smile gleamed at the three of them. Ghostbur immediately began to breakdown onto the sand as he held onto himself. Y/n glared at the green hooded man, shifting so that Tommy and Ghostbur were behind her.

"Hooowww..sweet. What's going on here Tommy hm? A little family reunion Tommy?" Dream kept pestering as he walked closer. His armour reflecting the sun off of him as he held both his shield and sword. Looking at the three of them he shifted more to look at Tommy who only stared as he kept mumbling things to himself.

"Tommy..You know you're not allowed to leave exile...you know that right?" Dream said while stepping forward. Y/n only pushed Tommy farther behind her, which she could only imagine how silly that looked. She could feel Tommy grip the fabric of her clothing that poked out under her armour.

"No one's leaving Dream, I'm only visiting my brother. I'm not doing anything wrong am I right?" She said pulling her sword out her inventory. Dream only stared for a moment, his face pin straight under his mask. "No, not really–How did...you get here?" He inquired as he took another step forward, soon stopping when he had recognized the sword she was holding.

She smiled at his hesitation, " I did say I was wandering around the world looking for Tommy's exile area for a while haven't I?" "No one told you?" He asked inquisitively looking at the shaking ghost. "Nope, I found Tommy all on my own." She responded with a tightened smile.

"I've asked you many times you know...if I could visit Tommy, eventually just telling you I would find him. Why do you look so worried now?" She said stepping towards the masked man. "You afraid I'm going to let Tommy out? You afraid I might...find something? What's wrong, Dream?" She said looking him face to face.

Dream only glared back in response as he scoffed. "I'm not hiding anything. I'm making sure you all follow the rules of said exile. I never had an issue with visitors, hell I let Sam visit once or twice." He said circling towards the portal. "Just don't break any of my rules and you won't have a problem from me."

Before she could even argue back, he was gone, whisked away by the portal. She could hear the breath that Tommy had been holding as he collapsed onto the sand. Turning to look at the younger boy she watched as he stared up at the sky as he caught his breath.

Sighing out she laid on the sand next to him. "I'm going to get you out of here Tom, don't lose hope. Alright?" Tommy only sat straight up when he heard this. The look of fear riddled all over his face as he looked at her in horror.

"No no no! There is no way you could possibly do that! What about Dream??? He- what- the tnt- the fighting-" " Don't worry your small brain about it Tommy, I have a plan alright? For now, I'll visit you daily. Just to make sure you're ok." She said ruffling his head gently. Ghostbur smiled as he exclaimed "And I'll bring Niki's pastries!!!!"

Snow fell gently around Alex and Y/n when they first stepped out the nether portal. The snow was powdery and untouched. The two stepped down into the snow as they make their way to Techno's house. Y/n had a matter of discussion with her twin and father, Alex was just happy to tag along however he may be implemented into said discussion.

The two laced their hands together as the snow danced around them in the light breeze. "Is there a reason we're heading over?" "It's about Tommy..and I was thinking this would be far enough from Dream as possible." Alex looked over at her with worry. "You don't mean we're going to break him out do you?? That's a suicide mission! You know how fucking nuts Dream can get.."

"Of course I know, I faught the mother fucker on multiple occasions. It would always end in a tie though.." she said while reminiscing back to various battles. Alex only huffed out in response, causing his breath to show up in the frigid air.

Upon walking a bit farther more the two could see the light pooling from Techno's house. It gave off a warm feeling despite the cold temperatures. The smoke from the chimney blended nicely into the off white clouds.

Making it through the snow and up to the steps, they knocked on the dark spruce door. Footsteps could be heard from inside before the door opened up allowing the warmth from inside to pull them in. "Oh Y/n! Come in ya nerd, and I guess the duck can come in too." "HEY!" Alex shouted as Y/n just pushed him in the house with her.

The inside of the house looked just as she'd imagined it. Stocked full of chests and brewing stands. Paintings covered small areas of the walls and an enderman? In a boat? She made sure not to look at them in the eyes as she passed by. The house was small and cozy it felt like a warm hug.

Techno left the house for a second to call Phil over from his side. Alex and Y/n explored what little room they had, trying to think up of an are for where they could store Tommy. The door swung open as little snowflakes flew in with them. Y/n ran over to give Phil a hug as he held her tightly with his wings wrapped around them.

"Ok I hate to break up a little reunion but we do have to discuss some matters don't we?" Techno asked. She nodded as they all followed Techno to the Table. They all sat down, with Techno and Phil on one side and Y/n and Alex on the window side. "So what did you want to talk to us about?" Phil asked Y/n with a confused look.

The girl looked over at Alex before saying,

"I need help breaking Tommy out of exile."

Oooo getting a little juicy again! Hopefully I push through the lore timeline smoothly enough to be at least up to 30 chapters!

Also guys pls the one guy in chapter 8 is just a random side character I made up for that chapter..y'all are like losing your minds over a character I came up with on the spot 🙏💀
