CHAPTER 9

(Author's note - hey guys!!! So literally some of you asked me if I've died or what😆😆

Ok, no one asked me. But genuinely sorry for the late upload. And thank you all for the support you gave me. Because of that support we reached our target of reads. Believe me, this is just the start we have to achieve great heights, but of course, TOGETHER.

So, as you know, some students don't complete their assignments, similarly, yesterday I asked you guys to read the previous chapter for a recap, but I am sure some of you might not have read the chapter. So for those students, I mean people, I've written a short recap.

So the recap is right here -

In the last chapter - Everyone decides Lilly and Ally both should sleep in the room. After that, Jake offered he can sleep on the couch. Troy agreed and Carl urged them to sleep with Jake on the couch. Meanwhile, Lilly and Ally were adoring the beauty of the room. Ally found that this room belonged to Alice.

So this chapter doesn't have a lot of summary points. And this was all I think should be there in the recap. Hope it'll help you recall.)

Ally's POV -
I opened the drawer. 'Oh! I got something' I thought to myself, picking the card. Oh, it looks like a license. As soon as I turned it, I was shocked to see that the license belonged to ALICE. I can't believe my eyes. Alice! That means this house belongs to Alice. Oh my God. What should I do now? Wait, Lilly? She doesn't know it right? What if she knows? Gosh!!! Wait, I should rush now, I've to find Jake. This thing can't wait. If Lilly comes to know about Alice, everything will end. No! I can't let this happen! Calming myself I turned towards Lilly to face her, "what are you smiling about? Did you find who's house is this??" Shit! she asked me directly about it. "What?? N-N-No!" Crap, I stuttered. She might catch me lying. "Okay..." she said not so interested. Thank God. "Hey! I'll go check if the boys need something" "okay," she said and rolled sluggishly. I rushed towards the boy's room And opened the door hurriedly. Shit, Troy was there and only in his towel, that too wrapped around his waist with no clothes on and that can fall anytime soon. "Hey! Can I at least get some privacy? Or maybe it'll be better if you knock next time" Troy suddenly answered covering his body with his hand. Which were not helping but come on Ally! Focus!! Alice is important now! "Hey! Shut the crap up and just tell me where the hell is Jake" "downstairs, I think" without even saying thank you I slammed the door and rushed downstairs.

Carl's POV -
I and Jake were setting our beds, which was a sofa indeed. Suddenly Ally came towards us. Panting. "J-J-Jake...T-this house b-belon t-to A-Al-Alice" "what?? Ally calm down, sit here! Now tell me what the matter is" Jake relaxed her. Until then I brought a glass of water to her. She drank it. "Okay, now relax and tell me what's the problem." He said, "Jake," she started, "this place is Alice's" "what???!!" I exclaimed, "yeah, the house owner of the house is Alice! ALICE BROWN."

Jake's POV -
What? This house is Alice's, our Alice, God I miss her, where is she, I want to meet her. "Lilly?" Carl asked breaking a big silence. "She doesn't know about it". Thank God. "okay, so for now take care that Lilly doesn't get to know that this is Alice's place. Tomorrow, we'll get out of this place and go to the resort. And once Lilly goes away from this place, we can come later and meet Alice, okay Carl??" "Yeah fine" Carl said letting out a heavy sigh. "Ally, you should go and sleep now and take care of Lilly and yourself. Good night" "good night" Ally said, and silently walked towards the stairs.

Lilly's POV -
This Cologne, It's familiar but I am not able to recognise it though. Where is this Ally gone now? I went outside the room to search for her. I opened the door and Ally was right there. "Where were you?" I asked her. Nothing, I just wanted some water. "Okay," I responded. And within some seconds she went inside the room. Whoa, what's with this weird behaviour, is she hiding something from me. Anyway, now I am feeling a bit thirsty too. I went down the stairs. "Umm guys you are sleeping here?" "Yes, thanks to your Troy, we will be spending our night together," Carl said with a sarcastic smile "sorry" I apologised on behalf of troy "oh Lilly, it's alright, someone had to adjust and we did it, so no sorry and thank you for this, okay!" he said and hugged me. "Yup!!" I said. We parted from the hug. And Carl hugged me. He knows I don't like hugging and cuddling with him. "Ahh! It's hurting" he now started to press me. "You're such a jerk!" I wailed. He laughed. "Aww Lilly, I love you too" I parted from his hug and gave him a smirk. "You have just grown your bodies your minds are like kids only" Jake commented. "Jakey, it's not my fault. Carl was at fault." I said in a complaining tone. Wait did I just sound like a kid." You know what Lilly you are complaining like a kid" saying that he busted into laughter. And received a deadly glare as a response from me. "God! You guys are impossible!" Jake responded. "Okay guys, good night now, I'll have some water and will be off to sleep," I said and received a nod from Jake. I drank water and went upstairs. I then went to Troy's room. I opened the door silently. Troy was sitting there, quietly, with his head in his hands. I went near him and placed my hand on his shoulders "you alright??" I asked. Troy was a guy who was brave and strong, I've never seen him cry or feel sad about anything, it's my first time seeing him this sad. Otherwise, he is full of confidence, enthusiasm and sometimes flirty with me. I sat next to him with my hands on his shoulders, giving him a sign that I am there for him. "Lilly, I am missing Ben, he was my best friend. Now, who will be by my side? He was my only best friend... Can you imagine one of your best friends dying?? Or even can you imagine losing one of your best friends??" He asked. He was right, I can't imagine, losing any of my besties. "Troy," I started. He looked at me. His blue eyes are filled with water that wants to come out. I held his hand. "I know it's too hard to even think about losing your best friend. But tell me one thing... Are you going to cry your lifetime for Ben?? I mean I know he is your best friend. But practically thinking you have your own life who awaits you, I am not saying be selfish and focus on yourself, I know you are sad and you want to cry at this time. Even I am sad about losing a nice friend like Ben, but then I know I have my own life, even though I am sad, I won't let that impact my entire life. And tell me one thing, will Ben like this if you cry this much?? I am not saying don't cry, But cry just once, and then you have to move on. I know my words will sound bitter to you at this emotional time, but just once think about it, and troy if you want someone to hear your thoughts out then I am always there. You can cry in front of me anytime. I am always there to listen to you." I finished. There was an awkward silence." I guess you are right Lilly. I got so emotional that I asked you some nonsense questions. Please don't mind. And thanks for being there. Promise me you won't leave me, Ever." Troy said. his voice was very low. "I won't!" I said and he hugged me. We stayed there for some time and then we parted. "I think you should go now, thanks for consoling me. And I am fine now. Even Ben won't like it if I cry like this." He said with a convincing smile. "Okay, good night," I said and left his room.
I entered my room, Ally was sleeping there. I was able to hear her snoring. She must have been exhausted from today. Today was a long day. Thank God at least we found a shelter and we are together. I was missing my mom and dad. I just wish tomorrow we reach the resort safely. Thinking about these things, my eyelids became heavy and before I could realise, I was sleeping.

(Author's note - okay guys so not a lot of things happened in this chapter, also you might be searching for suspense throughout the chapter. But no! this chapter doesn't have any suspense. Instead, the next chapter is gonna be full of suspense. And further, the storyline is gonna be interesting for sure, so guys keep reading this story.
