Lucius just stood there, completely in shock, as he stared at the Dark Lord. Snape's mouth was opened a bit, probably thinking of all the many, many times that he had insulted Hermione and was slightly worried that Voldemort might get after him for what he had said. But then again so did Lucius. How many times had he mocked her in front of the Dark Lord's face. At the same time, how were they supposed to know? He didn't even know she was his daughter. Voldemort just moved about the room looking at the books.
"If I was a teenage girl, who enjoyed books for a living, what kind of books would I want?" Voldemort asked, picking up two different books then moved to another pile of books. Snape and Lucius just stood there stunned. They couldn't even find the right words to say. They were still in disbelief that he had a kid. Voldemort lifted his head up before chuckled.
"I'm being silly, aren't I?" He asked them. Lucius and Snape just kept staring at him, still unable to speak their minds. Voldemort tossed the books to the side before waving his hands around him.
"For Merlin's sake! Say something!" Voldemort order them.
"Are you sure that Hermione's your child? I mean, it could be some cruel prank being pulled by some kid with a weird idea of fun?" Snape asked him. Voldemort shook his head.
"No, it's not. I know her handwriting and I looked up Hermione's birthday and the fact her husband was a foul, ungrateful, cheating bastard never would sleep with her for some reason. She is telling the truth." Voldemort stated to them, "She is in fact my daughter. I don't know how the bloody hell I'm supposed to bring it up! I mean... I can't very well just go 'Hello, Hermione. You probably don't know this but awhile back, I shagged up with your mother and you're my daughter. That's right you're the daughter of the Dark Lord, who has been hunting you down like an animal because I didn't know beforehand. Oops!'. Merlin's beard, I might as well hang myself! That would be easier."
Voldemort slumped onto his bed as he lean his head into his hands. Lucius cursed under his breath as he proceeded to walk over and sit beside the Dark Lord. For a moment they didn't speak under Lucius clear his throat.
"The wisest choice to make, sir, is not to tell her right away. You are right, she'll freak out and call you every name in the book. I think you need to be easy on her. Let her get to know you so that she feels more comfortable around you then rip the bandage off." Lucius said. Everyone turned to look at him as he shrugged his shoulder.
"Some muggle saying, meaning the same thing as just get it over with." Lucius explained to them. Voldemort nodded his head.
"You're right, I shouldn't just spring it on the poor girl. I shouldn't just dump this knowledge on her till she is ready." Voldemort stated to them while he stood up from the bed and headed towards the door, "I just hope that I can make up for not being there when she needed me... especially when Jean needed me."
He proceeded outside of the room, leaving with his head down low. Lucius and Snape darted between the door and each other, concerned with The Dark Lord and how he was going to handle this entire thing.
