Hermione leaned against her bedroom's wall, gazing out of the window. She wasn't exactly sure why someone was going against Voldemort from his own side since there was so many reasons why. They could have been angry with Voldemort for changing his plans about winning the war, someone had finally found the courage to want revenge for all the bad things he had done, or maybe someone just downright hated Voldemort. Whatever the reason, Hermione knew it meant trouble for everyone. Without a peace treaty, the war will continue and it would go on and on destroying more lives than need be.

Her thoughts were cut short when the door opened. She peered over her shoulder to see Voldemort walking into her room, Nagini slithering right behind him. For a moment, they just stayed in their spots, not uttering a word to each other till Voldemort found the will to speak.

"How are you holding up?" he asked her. She shrugged her shoulders.

"Fine, I guess." Hermione told him. Another pause of silence as Voldemort slowly creeped forward, figuring that it was safe to walk closer to her.

"I figured you may have questions for me regarding... well... you know?" Voldemort told her. Hermione shook her head as she motioned for him to have a seat. Once he had a seat, Hermione felt what she had been trying to hold down for so long break.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!?!?!?!" She found herself screaming at him so loudly, it nearly caused him to fall off his seat and Nagini to fling her head backwards to keep her away from Hermione. Hermione took a few deep breaths before trying again.

"What I mean is... why did you do it?" Hermione tried again.

"Do what?" Voldemort asked, pressing himself against his seat.

"Why did you hook up with my mother if you're so against muggles being with wizards? I mean you were against it before hooking up with my mother then you hook up with my mother, which you seem to care about her so much, yet you went back to still being against muggles being with wizards." Hermione explained herself. Voldemort shook his head.

"I'm not exactly sure myself. I guess I kept it up because I was struggling to admit I fell in love with a muggle. But at the same time, I felt guilty because... out of all the people I've met, she's the only one who loved me for me and not because I'm from the family of Salazar Slytherin or out of fear." Voldemort told her. Hermione nodded.

"Why did you left?"

"I died... and then throughout the years, I've been trying to get back to life."

"Did you know you had a kid?"

"No, I wasn't aware till finally getting that letter your mother wrote me."

"Did you ever want to get back with her?"

"Part of me did. Another part of me thought it wouldn't work with the things I've done."

"Did you know about my dad?"

"I heard a little about him. How he wasn't exactly the best, how he was a cheater, abusive verbally, how he made your mother feel like she was trapped and couldn't get out and other things."

"Why didn't you try to check up on her when you came back? Did you ever think maybe this whole trying to take over the world was a waste and that you might just want to settle down with my mom and have a family?" Hermione questioned him. Voldemort paused as his eyes shot out to the window like he was searching for a worthy answer to give her.

"I wish I could explain my reasonings, I wish I could tell you an answer that could explain it all, but nothing I could say would be good enough for you." He stated to her, "But I can say I wished I could take back so many things and had taken a different path, but what's done is done."

Voldemort then stood up from his chair as he glided over to her and wrapped his arms around her shoulders. For a moment, Hermione held still before she found herself hugging back. They stayed like that for a bit till the door swung opened and caused them to turn and watch as Lucius scurried in.

"I beg your pardon My Lord, but Yaxley is here and he has news about who is responsible for the attacks." Lucius gasped as he tried to get his breath.
