They split up into a couple of groups. Hermione went with Harry, Ron, Scabior and Fenrir through the visitor's entrance while the others went through different entrance points. She couldn't help but feel a sense of grief rushing through her entire being. This entire thing reminded her of when they were here during their fifth year and almost were killed themselves. Worse of all, it was when they lost Sirius. Hermione could still see Harry's face when Sirius vanished behind the veil... could still hear his screams echoing through the entire room.

"Come on," Her thoughts were cut short when Harry spoke, lightly nudging against her arm. Hermione shook her head as she quickly followed behind them. Fenrir and Scabior laid the way given their sense were stronger than their own so they can detect people coming closer to them. They swirled around the many hallways of the Ministry, which seemed like a complete maze to the untrained eye.

"Yaxley said they were down in the courtroom. We'll surround them." Ron reminded them.

"That may be a problem. They caught Yaxley, what's to say he didn't squeal on us when they were forcing him to give them information? Also they might have left this place to avoid being confronted by the Dark Lord himself?" Scabior pointed out while they rounded the corner. Before anyone could say something a suddenly cold consumed the room. Everyone paused as they stiffened, knowing what was lurking right around the corner. Dementors. Hermione pulled out her wand as they slowly crept closer towards where they were. They peered over the corner where they found a huge group of dementors leaning over something. Fenrir glanced over towards them.

"We're going to have to go through them. They're blocking our way to the courtroom." Fenrir ordered, pulling his wand out in front of him. Fenrir motioned for them to head out. The air soon was filled with their patronus from Harry's stag to Ron's dog to Scabior's jackal. Hermione attempted to think of a happy thought when the memory that kept popping up in her head was when she and Fenrir were making love... his gentle touch and the way his kiss put a fire in her. Soon a silvery shapes popped from her wand. One was her familiar otter twirling and swirling around than the other was a wolf-shaped creature. It almost appeared like Lupin's werewolf's form but with more muscle and with a more vicious appearance to it. It plowed through the dementors alongside her otter.

They soon were shooing the Dementors out the doors and away from them. Hermione was walking backwards, keeping an eye on the dementors when suddenly she stepped on something. She peered behind her as she found herself screaming at the top of her lungs. Laying spread out of the ground was Yaxley, who kept staring up at the ceiling with an empty stare. She could see he was still breathing but he didn't move. It was like he was paralyze to the floor. She felt her friends walking towards them.

"Shit! He's a goner." Scabior cursed, "You kids head to one of the lifts, Fenrir you know what you'll have to do."

"What? What do you have to do?" Hermione asked, her head shot up to Fenrir. Fenrir gently gripped her shoulders.

"Hermione... he... he had the Dementor's kiss on him. I need to put him out of his misery. It's not worth keeping him alive and putting through that much torment living as nothing more than an empty shell." Fenrir explained to her. Hermione shook her head as tears began to stream down her face. She felt a pair of hands take hold of her as she was dragged her away from Fenrir and push her towards the lifts. She didn't look back but she could see the green light reflecting against the backboard of the lift.
