When I opened my eyes, Barış Bey was standing next to me, holding my father's hand firmly. I had the feeling that at any moment my heart would jump, it was beating so fast. My gaze shifted from my father to the man next to me and back, for seconds I felt like I was in a trance, I couldn't hear anything and no one around me. Barış grabbed my hand, and I just followed him, running, still unable to realize what happened.
He opened the door of his car and whispered something to me, but the truth was that at the moment I could only hear my heartbeat. I got in the front seat, he also got in the car and we left as quickly as possible. It took me a few more seconds to recover and realize what happened.
The only thing that made me happy was that my mom was with us and this nightmare was over, but what worried me was that the man who prevented me from being hit saw this and the fact that he has probably already changed his mind about me. He would also hardly want me to work for him after seeing where I actually grew up.
The car stopped in front of the mansion, Mom got out of the car and went inside, but I took slow steps so I could say a few words to the royalty's son.
"I, um ... şey" - I stuttered.
"Ne?"
"Thank you very much, Barış Bey ... for helping me to bring my mother home ... I apologize for involving you in my problems ..."
"No need to thank me, Zeynep. I don't want you to apologize, either. The person who needs to apologize now is your father. You didn't do anything wrong. In fact ... it's quite brave of you to stand up to him. "- cheered me up the man on the other side. - "And one more thing ..." - he took a step towards me. - "I want to apologize to you if I offended you with the gift earlier. I didn't want you to misunderstand me. I would be very happy for you to practice in my company, but of course, the decision is yours. If you really don't want to, don't accept my gift ... "- he lowered his head and wanted to enter, but a moment before he pressed the lock on the gate, I interrupted him:
"Wait" - this time I approached him. - "I made my decision ..." - I said without thinking.
"What?"
"I will apply for an internship in your company-" - I smiled, he laughed too.
"Then there will be no problem using the laptop, it belongs to the company?" This man wants to finish me off. I will die ashamed at any moment.
"Ah, good. Öyle olsun ..."- I agreed and before the conversation become even more awkward, I entered through the door and ran to my room, closed the door behind me and threw myself on the bed.
...
The conversation with my father stayed in my head all night. I managed to fall asleep a few hours before my alarm rang and everything failed. I got up, put on black pants, a white blouse and apron, and went to the kitchen. Mom had already got up and was preparing breakfast. as Sultan had take a day off, I had to make orange juice, or as Mrs. Ozlem calls it - a fresh with vitamins to start the day. Admittedly, I love orange juice. The taste is amazing and it is so good for everyone's health. Well, it wasn't on the menu before, but as soon as their prince returned to his homeland, we prepare it every morning on his mother's orders.
After Tunahan's family breakfast, my mom and cleaned the table, and I had some free time for a task I promised one of my university teachers to do, before the family went out one by one and it was time to clean the rooms.
I went to my room, took off my apron, picked up books, notebooks, and the gray box with my gift, and went down to the kitchen to study there, closer to Mom if she needed help with anything.
