I wasn't angry at Safa, but I was unhappy and disappointed. If she hadn't liked me she could have told me. It wasn't like I was going to go get obsessive over her and forcefully marry her. 'Eseh baagneh ka kya matlab hai?'. I was thinking of how Ammi was always right. Ammi always told me she had weird vibes from Safa but I took no notice of it.
Ab mein kya safa ki shakal dekhta 24/7 aur apne kaam par dhyaan na deta. I broke away from my thoughts when I heard Dada Jaan asking Mehreens hand for marriage.

Dadi Jaan cupped her hands up to my face and I stood up out of respect. Dadi Jaan said 'Jo tumhareh Dada Jaan Mehreen se keh raheh hain, mein Woh tumse keh rahi hun. Shaadi karlo Mehreen se'.
I told Dadi Jaan 'mein keseh. Matlab Mehreen...' Dadi Jaan stopped me and said 'koi kami hai usmeh'.
I shook my head and said 'nahin Dadi Jaan, Mehreen mein koi kami nahin hai. Woh pyari hai, Dil ki bohot achi hai, lekin ham dono ek saath. Aap ko lagta hai ke ham dono aik saath reh paayen geh'.
'Beta Nikkah ke baad ahista ahista Pyaar bi bharta hai. Aik mauka do usseh aur Woh tumhare dil mein bas jaayegi'.
Faris sighed 'teekeh, mein raazi hun, lekin meri bi aik shart hai ke koi Mehreen ko force nahin karega'. Dadi Jaan agreed.

Aik minute, agar meneh unse shaadi karli aur yeh Woh Wattpad characters ban gaye toh. Woh toh apni replaced brides par itna gussa karteh hain jaiseh ke larkiyon ki ghalti thi. Mujh pe gussa nikalenge to mein kya karungi?
Looking at my parents I was thinking 'shaadi to aik na aik din karni hai mujhe. Aur agar ghar mein rahun gi, to ammi aur abbu saath bi hongeh aur aik churail saas bi nahin hogi. Chal beta haan karde.
I looked at Dada Jaan looking at me. I gave my consent. Abu was telling me to think again but I made my decision. If it was to save the family's izzat I was more than happy to do it.
Abu was about to tell me to think once more but Ammi explained to him, how i was going to stay forever with him. Therefore, after taking few minutes of thinking, abbu ultimately gave his consent.
