Taking a deep breath, he said 'Dekho mujhe tumse kuch kehna hai'.
Mehreen upon hearing him, turned around to see him and knew she was doomed.
Faris said 'wohh jo kuch bi hua... aiseh mat samajhana ke mein tumpe ghussa honga ya tumhe apni biwi nahin kehlaunga. Haqeeqat yeh hai ki tum mereh naseeb mein ho aur umm agar tum chaho to ham is rishte par work kar sakteh hain'.
Hearing this Mehreen sighed and thanked Allah in her head many times. Hearing Mehreen sigh, Faris looked at her and asked 'kya hua, kuch ghalat keh diya meneh'.
Mehreen shook her head and said 'nahin, meneh socha ki meneh ghalat sunna. Aap ghusseh mein to nahin hai haina?'. Mehreen asked unsurely.
Faris looked at her confusedly and said 'mein ghusse mein kyun honga'.
Mehreen replied 'kyunke aap ki shaadi to Safa ke saath honi thi, mere saath thori. Aur weseh bi, kahaaniyon aur filmon mein aisa hi dikhaya jaata hai'.
Faris looked at her with an 'are you serious' look and said to her 'tumhe yahan koi film dikhraha hai. Mehreen? Khwaabon ki dunya se nikal aao, yeh asal zindagi hai'.
Mehreen turned red due to embarrassment and stuttered 'to mein kya karun, meneh socha ki aap ghusse... ghusse mein hongeh'.
Faris closed his eyes and stated 'mein ghusse mein nahin hun lekin Safa pe zarur khafa hun. Aur weseh bi jab ghalti ham dono ki nahin hai, khaas tor par tumhari to koi ghalti hai hi nahi to ghussa karna se kon sa faida hoga'. Mehreen hmmed and said
'Teekeh, lekin yeh change kitni unexpected hai mere liyeh. Mera matlab hai mein aaj subh single thi aur ab shaadi shuda hun. Bohot darr lagraha mujhe'. Keeping all the playfulness aside, Mehreen stated seriously.
Faris looked at her and said 'kis baat ka dar?'.
'Yahin ki agar Safa waapis aayi, toh aap mujhe chorenge yaa ham dono ke beech mein koi compatibility nahin hogi'.
Faris sighed and went towards her side of the bed and said 'mein neh tumhara haath chorneh ke liyeh nahin thaama tha, Mehreen'. Aur jahaan baat compatibility ki hai, to aik hi din mein ham dono aik dusre se Mohabbat nahin karenge. In cheezon mein waqt lagta hai...
Khair yeh sab choro, dosti karlein... shorty. Faris said amusedly. Mehreen looked at him and laughed. She hand-shook him and said 'Friends'.
Faris looked at the clock and it showed 1am. 'Acha chalo, soteh hain raat ke aik bajraheh hain. Kal subah bi uthna hai'. Faris got up and stopped midway. He turned to her and said 'tum bed par so jao, mein sofa par sotah hun teekeh'.
Mehreen nodded and laid down on the bed. Faris laid on the sofa and looked at the ceiling above. Mehreen quietly said 'Shab Bakhair'. Faris hearing her replied 'Shab Bakhair' an both fell into a deep slumber.
