Alijah's POV: When I woke up I immediately dreaded it because it was Christmas Eve and I hate it so much because I never got anything ever since the incident happened.I got out of my bed and fixed Billy something to eat,bathed him,put a little Santa hat on his head,and he looked so adorable.I went over to my dresser and pulled out a white button up shirt,a knit black sweater that my best friend Jace gave me for my birthday,and some black pants,and my white air force 1s.I got dressed in my outfit and I did my hair. I brush my teeth,grab my phone,take my pills,and I leave my dorm and start walking towards the gym because we were having a meeting there apparently.When I walked into the gym I saw everyone there and I went up to them.
"Hey guys."I said putting my hands in my pocket
"Hey Alijah."Hope said hugging me and letting go and looking at me
"What?"I asked her confused
"I swear it's like you're getting taller."She said
"Or maybe it's you getting shorter."I said and Lizzie starts laughing
"Shut up."She told me messing up my hair
"Hey,hey watch the hair Hope."I said fixing it.
"Everyone focus."Jake said and we look at him
"We need to finish the meeting."He said and we agreed.
After we are done with the meeting we just start goofing off and out of nowhere Lucas brought out a bucket of water and threw it in my face and skne of it got in my mouth.
"Are you ok?"Hope asked me trying not to laugh
"I hate people so much.I knew I should have stayed in bed."I said spitting water out my mouth
"Wait hold up,are we going to ignore the fact that Alijah's hair is curly and not straight."Jake said pointing at my now curly hair
"Your hair's so cute."Lizzie said touching my hair
"Stop it Lizzie."I said slapping her hand away from my hair and running my finger through it
"You just look so adorable."Josie said touching my hair and Hope agreed with her
"Why don't you ever wear your hair curly?"Hope asked me
"Because it doesn't make me look scary."I said
