7 - Another Mission

I woke up sleepy, hoping to find Tom in the sofa bed laying down, but he wasn't there. I saw that it was completely ordered and clean and there was no trace of him, why would he just...disappear? I was too sleepy to find out, so I changed and went to the field.

I was hoping to find him there, and there he was, training by himself. I was quite surprised when I found him there, I didn't expect it, he saw that I was entering the field and as soon as I got near him he greeted me with a smile "Good morning, Alastor!" he said "good morning" I said a little tired "hey, why didn't you tell me you were going to be here?" "oh- about that, sorry, I- didn't want to wake you up and I wanted to send you a message but- I forgot that I don't have your contact and-" I noticed that he was getting a little nervous, and I interrupted him by putting my hand in his shoulder "Hey, it's okay, next time just tell me" Tom nodded shyly "since we're already here, I want you to show me how much progress you've made," I said as I was putting my bag in the shelf.

Before we could continue C.C interrupted us with an announcement, ''Hey guys! Just wanted to say that we have a meeting in 2 minutes, so, don't be late, please!'' ''What's the meeting about?'' Asked Tom ''You'll figure it out soon'' C.C turned her back and left.

Tom and I went to the place that C.C accorded us to go, Emma, the twins, Dan, J, C.P, and Himary were there too. C.C started speaking ''Well, first off, good afternoon everyone! The reason C.P and I called all of you is because we have another mission, and it can not fail'' ''What's the target?'' Sally asked ''You remeber that day when we robbed the bank and Emma got info from the president? Well, it's him! The president!'' ''What do we have to do with him?'' I asked ''WE are going to FUCKING Kill him!'' C.C said with a big smile. ''The President organized a gala for...a building he made or something- but it doesn't matter, with the help of Dan, we got the list of the people who are going and their pictures, so, first we have to kidnap the people that we are chosing and disguise as them! Oh, and also steal their ID's'' C.P spoke.

We all gathered in the table and C.C showed us a flat of the place we were goign to and defined the plan ''Okay, C.P, Dan, J and I will stay in the car right outside, we will be the back-up, the ones that are going to be inside stealing all the information and going to kill the president will be Emma, Alastor, Himary, Tom and the twins'' Tom raised his eyebrows as he heard his name and before he could say something Dan handed us some copies of the list he had printed ''Here are some copies of the list, analyze them, and choose your target''.

I analyzed the list carefully and finally took the decision to be ''Lewis Hamilton'', Emma chose to be ''Lara Wilson'' which she's Lewis's wife. The twins chose to be ''Sarah Adams and Roy Adams'' apparently some twins that were going to the gala. Himary chose to be ''Caitlyn Wilson Hamilton'' Lara's and Lewis's daughter.

I noticed that Tom was staring at the list "this is a mistake... Right?'' ''What?" I asked "here.." Tom pointed at two names "Laura Hemsworth" and ''Wesley Robinson''. I analyzed them a little ''What's wrong with them?'' I asked ''They are my parents...'' Tom said worried  "how could they be invited-?!" he yelled a little "I don't know, but don't worry, they won't recognize you, you'll be disguised, remember?" C.P said as she was by Tom's side and he made a worried look to her.

Anyway, after Tom calmed a little bit down he made a choice, he was going to be "Jack Rhodes". After everybody had their identities we, of course, kidnapped all the selected people and disguised as them. With a little help of Dan's technology we were able to look exactly like them and even have their own voices, but just from the eyes of others.

We finally arrived to the gala, the place was really big, and fancy. "OK guys, remember, kill that motherfucker and collect information from other guests, Emma, go fuck the president, contact us when you get information, and, don't mess up" C.C said as she gave a quick glance to Tom.

We got out of the car, and went inside the place, everybody was talking in pairs or in a small bunch. There was a really big snack table, which Himary invaded. "Ok, you guys follow the plan, I'll go upstairs" Emma said and went to the second floor of the building.

Some minutes passed by, I had collected a lot of information of other people. Everybody else was doing a nice job, including Tom, he seemed calm, knowing that his parents won't recognize him, and that he had a small role to play on the gala. Suddenly, music started to sound, it was classical music, and everybody started to find their partner to dance with. Himary came towards me while she was eating a salt cookie "Hm! You should dance!" she said and I scoffed "there's no way, besides, I don't even have a partner" I said as I crossed my arms "well, I have someone in mind" she said "Yeah? Who?" I asked and took a sip of champagne "him", Himary automatically pointed at Tom and I chocked on my drink.

"Are you INSANE-?!" I said as I coughed "yeah, but I'm serious, you should dance with him!" "And, why would you want us to dance together-?" "Uughh!" Himary said as she rolled her eyes "Just go ask him!" she said as she pushed me towards Tom; he was looking at his phone, downloading information from the guests.

Himary pushed me until I got to Tom and she went to the snacks table again. He looked up at me "is there anything wrong?" he asked kindly and I couldn't resist blushing, and I didn't know why. "No..nothing's wrong I just..-" I sighed "what?" he asked again kindly "I just- want to ask you if.. You want to dance..?" Tom looked at me in surprise, I guess he didn't expect to hear that from such bitter guy "uhm-'' he shook his head ''s-sure" he stuttered and saved his phone.

We went to the dancing room, and the music started. It was music for waltz.

I grabbed Tom's waist and gently pushed him close to me, he put one hand on my shoulder and the other hand holding mine. "I-...I don't even know how to waltz" he said awkwardly "well, then...let me guide you" I said as we started to move.

Tom followed all my steps fluidly, making a nice dance. He looked at his feet to make sure he was following correctly my steps, and then he looked at me. I looked at him straight at his eyes, that sapphire color mesmerized me in someway and he looked back at me, it was like he could see my eyes behind my blindfold.

My heart started pumping really fast, we both were really close to each other, dancing to the sweet rhythm of the music, and that weird feeling came again, but this time it came stronger. I noticed Tom blush, I didn't know if it was from embarrassment, or the fact that we were really close, but we both couldn't look away from each other.
