A Mission For Two

6 - The Elite Hotel

I guess I was starting to fit in the gang, well, not that much, I was still finding out what roll I was going to play.

-6:40 a.m:

Of course, like everyday, I went to the field to train, the same stages, the same order, First Alastor, then Himary, then the twins, then Dan, and finally Emma.

I still was hesitating if I should stay in the gang, I mean, I was pretty insecure and unstable back then, thanks to my parents that ruined everything. Anyway, I was normally training with Alastor, I got pretty good with guns and a little bit of self defense! I was kinda proud of myslef, I never thought I could do such thing! I had a streak of 6 shootings straight in the target, I gotta say, I had Alastor impressed.

''Not bad'' he said when I finished shooting ''thanks'' I said almost without breath, I began to feel dizzy "Are you ok? You look kinda bad, wanna take a break?" Alastor said "yes, please... I'm not feeling alright.." "Do you want to go to the nurse's office?" He asked, he sounded kinda worried "We have one?" "Sure, C.C is charge of it, I'll take you there" after that Alastor carried me with C.C, we entered in a weird room, it was cleaner than the other ones "what do we have now?" "He's feeling dizzy, I guess is because of the training" Alastor and C.C began to talk about what could they do, I was not paying attention, but after a while they decided something "you need to rest Tom, the training may be too hard for you" said C.C as she took out some pills "here, take this once each three hours, Alastor, please take care of him."

"Where's the motel you're staying in?" Asked Al while he carried me in his back "I... I can't go back... you see, my parents discovered I was there so..." "fine then, I'll take you to the one I'm staying in" Alastor grabbed the car's key and began to drive to a really nice hotel, I was kinda shocked.

"Good morning sir, why are you here so soon? It's almost 9:00 am" said one of the men that were in the door, apparently they knew Al "Goodmorning Leonard, I'm here because my partner needs a place to stay" they said goodbye to each other and we went to his room, he placed me gently in his bed, he went for a glass of water and handed me the pills "I'll be here if you need anything, ok? just call me or Leonard, you just have to press the 8th button in the phone, I'll take a bath meanwhile" Alastor took a towel and some clothes and went to the bathroom, I layed on bed thinking about my parents, and... about Alastor, he never told me about his past, or his family.. not even his last name, «maybe I could ask C.C or C.P about it, no... I better ask Alastor»

Some minutes had passed, I was getting better, but hunger came and ruined my mood, "h-hey Al.. I'm kinda hungry, Could we eat something?" "Sure, what do you want to order?" Alastor got out the bathroom, he had the towel wrapped around his waist, he had a smaller towel in his hands with which he dried his hair "Tom? You're red, Do you have fever? Let me go for a damp cloth-" "N-no no no! I-I'm fine I'm just- hungry.." I was red from head to toe, his husky voice just made everything hotter, which I didn't know was even  possible "Would you like some pancakes? The buffet is open, it's early so it'll be alone, You mentioned your social anxiety before right?" I was in blank... «Did he really remember what I told him weeks ago?» "s-sure, I'm glad you remembered.." he smiled to me.. it was awesome, that was the first time I saw him smile, he had white sharp fangs, bigger than usual, I also noticed something else.. horns, he had short black horns, and his blindfold, How could he see with that!? I guess it has a logic but I was too sick to find out. 

When Alastor finished changing we went to the buffet, it was completely alone. 

We served ourselves some pancakes and sat down on a table overlooking the park. I was eating while looking outside, for a moment I forgot about my parents and everything else, it was very peacefull. I took a sip of my coffee and looked at my phone, (oh, I forgot to mention, I have my own parents blocked) C.P had sent me a message. 

-I heard you felt dizzy, u ok?

-I've been worse ;-;

-Where r u btw? :v

-With Al in the Hotel Elite, why? :^

- 7-7

- ._. what?

-no, nothing u-u I just hope u get better

I turned off my phone and took another sip of my coffee, ''who was it?'' Alastor asked ''Just C.P'' I said as I was holding my mug ''she just wanted to know if I was okay'' ''Are you?'' he asked with a husky voice and a smile that turned me a little bit red. ''S-Sure..'' I said in a low voice and took another sip of my coffee shyly. 

Some minutes passed by, and I finally asked the question that was going through my head ''Hey, Al-..can I ask you something?'' ''Sure'' ''How- how do you see with that blindfold?'' ''Oh, it's simple, do you know the polarized windows?'' I nodded ''Well, my blindfold is just like them, you can see everything from the inside but no one can see you form the outside'' ''Oh, it makes sense'' it did actually, I couldn't see his eyes, I was always curious how his eyes would look like.

I looked at the clock and I realized it was time for me to go train with Himary ''Oh! I have to go train with Himary-'' Just when I was going to stand up Alastor stopped me with his hand ''I'm sorry, I can't let you do that'' ''what- why-?'' ''the training it's still very heavy for you, I have to ask everyone to make it lighter, but for now, the best thing for you is to rest, if you keep up like this you'll be dizzy again or worse'' I don't know why but- I listened to him and sat back down. «Is he- is he really worrying for me-?''» I thought confused, why would he do that? He's normally the tough guy but- I guess he has a soft spot.

Before I knew it the day had already passed, and I still didn't decide if I was going to stay with Al or go to another hotel. But Al made a decision for me, he said I was going to stay with him, it seemed like he didn't mind, he was really open-up and generous when he told me that, so I stayed with him. 

I put my head to sleep in the soft pillow, hoping to be safe from my parents.
