8 - Close Call

I simply couldn't believe this, I was dancing with Alastor-?! But- WHEN DID WE EVEN GET THERE SO FAST-?!

Before I could think of something else, suddenly we changed partners. When we did, I couldn't believe who was in front of me... Laura, my mom, that bitch was standing in front of me, she was going to dance with me... It was just perfect, just when I thought I could avoid her, I got to dance with her.

After a while dancing she talked with her brittish bitch accent "Excuse me dear, Do I know you? You look awfully familiar to me" Not gonna lie, I got nervous when she said that, "I-I don't think so... I Can't r-remember your face" I was so nervous I just couldn't stop muttering "Of course I know you! Jack Rhodes! We met in high school! I'm Laura Hemsworth, remember me?" "Oh- o-of course! I do remember you" "Well I am glad! So you should know about my son too!" I kinda freaked out when I heard those words "Oh- y-yeah, I heard he went missing.." She let out a cold laugh "Yes..and we haven't found him since then..but, who cares anyway? He was such a brat" she said as she laughed with such an annoying tone "Y-yeah... Who cares?"

We got to change partners again and I went back with Alastor "You ok, Tommy?" My cheeks went red hot and I lost my breath "E-Excuse me? W-what did you just call me?" I was muttering again... "I-I mean-J-Jack... Are you ok?" He asked "Yeah-! Why wouldn't I-?" "You seem a little tense" "Whaaat? No way! I'm good" "C'mon, you know you can trust me" Alastor said with a kind smile in his face. His fangs showing out.. Just made him hotter than he already was.

His smile was just perfect.

Just like him.

Words couldn't simply come out of my mouth I was too stunned to speak "Hello? Earth calling Jack? Is he there?" I shaked my head as I looked back to him "yeah, sorry I was just... Thinking..." "about what?" I hesitated for a moment. ''You know what? It doesn't matter, it's not that important''.

Then a thought came to me, it was kind of random but..it made me think about it a lot.

Was I falling in love with Alastor?

«No- Bring yourself up Tom! You just met him!» I thought loudly on my head, «Besides, he would NEVER notice an insecure guy like me» Thoughts were evading my head again, they were so loud. Just before I could think of anything else the dance ended and we went with the twins. ''How much information did you gather?'' Sally asked ''I guess enough'' I said ''Where's Emma?'' ''She'll be here soon'' Alastor spoke.

And, in fact, she came downstairs and headed towards us ''That was a bit long, but I got it! Now let's roll'' Just before we could get to the exit a group of people blocked our way out. I couldn't help but feel nervous, what if these people dicovered us? What if they suspected we were stealing information?

''Excuse me, we're kind of in a rush'' Emma laughed a little bit nervous ''so, please, if you're so kind, let us pass'' the group ignored that and cornered us even more. I got my gun ready, just in case something happened ''Oh, I don't think you guys are going anywhere'' one of the members spoke ''Tell us, who you guys really are'' at that moment, we all draw our guns, well, apart from me, I got it out a little late.

We didn't realize that because of that act we attracted attention and the security guards sorrounded us too. I got even more nervous than I already was, I was only holding my gun trembling, pointing at the other guards and the group members. My breath was shaking and my legs were trembling as hell. 

«Is this the end?»

Alastor brought my head off the clouds "CODE RED!" he shouted, I got really confused... code red? What the fuck was that!? Alastor grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind him, he began to shot everyone with such a speed I couldn't even see what was actually going on.

''GUYS, GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE!'' shouted C.P through the communicator, aaand- I was starting to get a panick attack-. I started to feel dizzy.

''Tom, we have to get out!'' Alastor grabbed me gently by the arm ''Hey- are you alright?'' he asked worried, ''Y-yes!'' I said with my breath and my whole body shaking ''I-I'm fine!'' the sounds of the shotguns just made me feel even more nervous, and I couldn't help but let out a tear «Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck!» I said repedeatly on my head as I grabbed my arms tightly.

But Alastor brought me back to Earth again by grabbing gently my shoulders ''Look, I know you're scared, I've been there too, okay? So I need you to be strong in this one, I promise we're going to get out'' he spoke and I nodded.

After a whole chain of disastrous things we managed to get out and get inside the car.

''Okay, how can I put this gently?'' said C.C ''WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED-?! THAT WASN'T PART OF THE PLAN!'' C.C screamed ''WHO WAS THE FUCKING DUMBASS THAT EXPOSED US?!'' ''Bet it was Tom'' said Emma as she turned her head to me ''WHAT-?! BITCH- I DID NOTHING!'' I yelled in anger ''Indeed, it wasn't him,'' Alastor interrupted ''actually, nobody did anything, my guess is that they have almost the same technology as Dan and discovered us, but I'm not really sure'' concluded Alastor and C.C looked at him for a moment.

''...Are you defending him?'' C.C asked as she frowned ''Yes'' Alastor said with a serious face ''Oooh- snap-'' C.P said kind of shocked ''Are you fucking talking back to me?'' C.C asked with pistol eyes ''Yes, I am, that's how a conversation works, doesn't it?'' there was a HUGE silence between Alastor and C.C, until she decided to say nothing else and ignore the comment.

*THE NEXT DAY*

«Hate» That word kept rolling inside my head. I always considered that 'hate' was something permanent on people, or that it was too hard to take it out of them. People are FILLED with hate, even me.

My thoughts got interrupted (again) as my phone buzzed, it was Alastor.

-Hey, are you free this evening? 

-Yeah, why? 

-I was wondering if you would like to go to starbucks, you up?

I took sometime to process what just happened in those 17 seconds of texting and finally replied.

-Yeah! I'd love to! :D

-Cool then, I'll see you at 5:00 p.m.?

-Yup, I'll be there, thanks!
