[9] Ride Of A Liftime

Wendy's POV

360 roller coaster?! Is he kidding me?! I can't do this. We're now in line and butterflies are now starting to fly all over my stomach. There going crazy giving it a weird feeling. On the second thought, maybe it's food going up through my throat. I think I'm gonna puke. Oh God help me.

It's now our turn to ride the coaster. I'm frozen. I can't move my feet. A familiar warm hand slipped into my lft hand. Tyler. He smiled at me but turned upside down when he saw my face. "You're pale" he said cupping my face with both hands. "It's alright if you don't wanna go. I don't really mind." he said with a concern tone. He's really being sweet as a candy but I can't just tell him 'hey I don't like to ride it coz I'm to coward to scream my lungs out.' No, not after he rode the carousel. That's just not fair.

I sucked the fear and replaced it with courage and spoke. "I'm fine. I can do this." and tried to plaster an enthusiastic smile. Who knew roller coasters can be so frightening?

After a few (I mean a lot) twists and turns the ride is finally over.

"The ride is now over. Thank you for riding. Please take the exit. Have a nice day.'

Passengers are now starting to move. I now I should do th same but at some reason my butt won't move. I'm frozen again. I think my soul was left after a rough turn awhile ago. I could still feel Tyler's hand squeezing mine gently.

"Sir, you have to take the exit now." A woman's voice appear. I think she's taking to Tyler. I'm not really sure since I can't even twist my body.

"Okay. Just wait for a sec." Tyler replied. "Wendy?" He said tapping my shoulder. I looked at him and saw his complete pear teeth. "It's time to go." and he squeezed my hand gently again. I smiled back at him and gave him a nod.

We stood up. As I did I could feel my legs jiggled. Tyler cupped my face again and looked into my eyes. I think I'm turning into a tomato. I could feel the heat crept through my cheeks. "Thank you." He said in a gentle voice. "Now it's my turn to repay you." He lets go of my hand and turned his back to me and knelt. "Climb up."

Did I heard that right? or was my mind also affected by that rough turn from the ride? "A- uh- you don't ha--" 

"If you refuse, I'll have to lift you my way. Climb up." He said giving his back a pat. I climb up on his back wrapping my thighs around his waist and my arms around his neck. People are starting to stare at us but I don't really care. First, I'm dizzy and about to puke anytime now. Second, feeling his warmth is heaven. He smells so good.

"Do you love how I smell?" His question cut my thoughts. I could feel he's smirking again. I remember those days when his smirks annoy me so much but look at us now. Who knew my nemesis could be my lover? 

"Don't mind me player, just keep walking." and a smile crept on my face.

"Is that a new nickname for me?"

"Hmm." I closed my eyes and felt the cold summer breeze. The sun is already going down. After a while Tyler stopped walking. I was curious so I opened my eyes. He carried my at the seashore near the amusement park. "You can put me down now." I climbed down feeling the warm sand beneath my feet. I thought the coaster was a ride of a lifetime but this piggy back ride was much better, way better.
