A/N: Just like I promised, I updated today. Play the song on the right side if you like. It quite suits the chapter.
What Happned To US?
Wendy's POV
The week ended without any news about Tyler. How long was that vacation of his? I guess he wanted it to end like this that he didn't even told me he's going somewhere. I can't blame him anyway. It's Saturday and we, Ali and I are dressing for the party. We are now in my room.
"Ready?" she said fixing her black fitted dress that perfectly shape her curves.
"Yup!" I said popping the 'p'.
This will be the night that I would forget about Tyler. I was being so paranoid lately. We went down and mom and dad took some pictures.
"Smile honey!" mom said while dad was taking pictures. I laugh at them both.
"Mom, it's not prom."
"I know, but you two look so pretty and sizzling hot."
"Thanks Mrs. Park." Ali said as she blushes.
We arrived at the place where the party is. "This is really a wild party, Al." I said. The loud beat was trying to escape from the inside of the house making your heart pound with it. Red empty cups and used cigarettes spread on the lawn looking all messy. There were also couples making out in the shaded part of the front lawn.
From the inside it was all crowded. I entered first as Ali followed me. The thick smell of alcohol was in the air. A lot of people were dancing with the beat of the music. I squeeze myself in the crowd going to the area where the drinks is. I was going to offer Al a drink but when I looked back she was already dancing with the crowd so I was left alone.
I grabbed a clean red cup and filled it with some punch. As I raise my head to drink I saw Noah looking at me. What a small world. There are so many places to go, so many parties but we both ended up here tonight. Just my luck! Note the sarcasm.
I was about to walk away when he grabbed my wrist. "Let's talk." I heard him say through the loud music. I tried to remove his hand but he gripped it tighter and started to drag me at the back part of the house where the pool area is.
The music isn't loud here compared inside. He forced me to face him but I didn't look him in the eyes. "I'm sorry." He started. "I know what I did was below the line. I was a jerk for doing that. Since that incident I've wanted to talk to you but I don't have the courage to face you. I'm glad the beer is started to kick in." He gave out a slight laugh. "But I miss you Wendy. Please,... can we start again?"
I was about to talk to him when a familiar back caught my attention. Am I hallucinating? No. I know that broad wide back and that blonde hair.
But, it's impossible, is it?
Why did nobody told me he's back? His team mates, Ryan? The loud noise that surrounds me seemed to become quiet all of a sudden. People seemed to disappear.
It was Tyler.
My eyes were staring to get misty and tears will come out soon. I inched closer to him but....
.......he's kissing. He's kissing someone else... He's kissing Ashley.
Is this a pay back? "Did I miss something?" I said under my breath just enough for them to here. Both of them were surprised. He's drunk. It is evident but I know him. No matter how many bottles of beer he drinks, he still knows what's going on.
