Wendy's POV
"What's this answer again?" I start asking myself through my head while answering my History test paper. C'mon......c'mon Wendy, think!
~Suddenly~
Teet eet teet eet teet eet
"Huh? I rubbed my eyes and adapted to the lighting of the room. "Oh, good thing it was just a dream." I slowly reached for my alarm clock and turned it off, then realized that IT'S ALREADY 7:20!! "Shoot!" I'm going to be late.I dashed quickly into the bathroom.
After taking a shower, I shuffled through my closet and found something to wear. I pulled out a white tank top and a pair of skinny jeans. I hastily wore them not even looking at the mirror. My hair might be looking like a wet bird's nest. Who cares, I'm going to be late.
I got my bag and rushed out of my room , going to the hallway, down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Hey, honey I thought your class was nine? Mom asked sweetly.
"Nope, it's eight and I'm going to be late if I don't hurry," I said in a panic mode while taking a bite of my toast.
"How about if I drop you off?" My dad asked. He always saves the day.
"Sounds great." I replied while gulping the toast down to my throat. I choked for a moment before drinking the orange juice.
"Good morning sleepy head," I heard Zack as he entered the kitchen. He's my big brother. He mused my hair making it messier than before. I gave him a scowl and took another bite of my toast. He can be annoying sometimes.
I got to school just in time as the bell rang. I saw Ali coming towards me. She's my ultimate BFF! "Hi there, sunshine!" Before she could say anything more her face scrunched up a bit. "Why is your hair so wet?" She asked looking at the hair that was dripping wet.
I took out a hanky in my pocket and rubbed them with my hair. "I woke up late and didn't have the time to blow dry it." I explained as we went to our Homeroom class.
We walked through the hallway that was crowded with students rushing to their respective classrooms. "It's still Monday morning and you're almost late?" she said while trying not to laugh.
"Ha-ha, very funny." I said joking.
"Oh come on, don't be like that. You know I'm just teasing you Wendy."
As we went inside the room, I saw Tyler sitting on my seat. Who could be the MVP but he can't just do whatever he wants. "Could you please go back to your seat?" I asked kindly.
"And why would I do that? Is your name written on it?" He asked. His famous smirk was plastered on his face.
"No but I usually sit here so could y -" Tyler spoke cutting me off.
"Really?" He said, still not convinced. he let out a chuckle. "You know you could just ask if you want to get my attention, babe."
What did he just call me? Babe? If he calls me that again, I swear I'm going to throw a chair at his face. I don't know why but I found it rude.
"C'mon Wendy let's just sit over there," Ali suggested pointing to the two vacant tables at the other side of the corner. "Just ignore him, he'll go away." said Ali.
Before going to the tables I sent a death glare at him one more time only to see him still smirking at me. Sometimes I wish I could ripp that smirk of his. I know his kind. players.
I stuck my tongue out at him like a child before completely turning around.
After the class was over, I fixed my things and stood up. Ali and I headed to our lockers. She walked ahead of me while I followed her behind. Before I could even take another step someone called my name. "Hey Wendy!"I looked back and guess who I saw? Tyler. "Wait up." Oh great. Note the sarrcasm.
He walked up to me, still catching his breath. "Hey, wanna have lunch with the captain of the basketball team?"
"No." I said to him simply then ignored him. I know there's nothing wrong having a lunch, but there were rumors about players who were breaking girls' heart after a week and I'm aoiding that. The last thing I want to have before going to college is a broken heart.
Ali and I left him with a face in shock. I think it's a first that he got rejected. You can obviously see it on his face.
I really hated guys who think they're so smart and cool but in reality, they're just boastful. I turned around and was about to take a step forward when someone held my wrist.
"I won't accept 'no' for an answer." Tyler stated.
"Well you have to, because I just did." I replied firmly.
"Don't you want to hang out with the coolest guy in Woodway High?"
"Please just leave me alone." I said starting to get annoyed with him. I left quickly before he could even held my wrist again and ask any more ludicrous questions.
Tyler's POV
A girl came up to me and claiming the chair I was seatd on. She's just simple, really. Not my type, and I think she feels the same way about me too.
She's not into me and that's why she amused me. I asked Jake who usually sits with her during Algebra class.
"Who's that chick over there?" I asked pointing at her.
"Oh, her? Her name is Wendy Park."
Wendy Park. Nice. Since the chair moment with her somehow she's stuck in my head. I always went out of my way to annoy her. For some reasons she impressed me with her attitude. She has this strong and hard-to-get attitude.
She's cute when she get annoyed with me. Funny when she gets angry with me, funny in a good way.
Some girls flirt with me but she's not like that. I can't understand myself, really. There's no such thing as love at first sight, right? That's just a silly saying. Pssh.
Everytime she rejects my offers there was a slight pinch in my chest. My ego was hurt. It's a first that I've got rejected. Cases like that, I always receive the word 'yes' whenever I asked someone out and sometimes it's even them who ask me out.
Life becomes interesting when there are challenges that came along and I believe she's one of them.
