Cairo had been trying to keep me updated with Ryleigh but whoever took her didn't plan on making the shit easy for us.
I had just received a call from Malikai.
"Wassup bro?" I said.
"Yooo. Slide by the trap. I think we got a clue." He said and I hung up the phone and slid on some shoes.
I drove down to the trap and walked in and sat at the table. Not saying anything to anybody on my way in. I pulled out my phone and scrolled on Twitter until I heard the door open again.
Cairo and Malikai walked in and sat down at the table as well. "So wassup?" I said and Cairo pulled out a silver locket necklace.
"What this gotta do with something?" I said while picking it up.
"Open it." Malikai said.
I looked at him and then opened it. When I opened it I seen a older man. I scrunched my face trying to figure out who this could've belonged to.
I flipped it over to see writing that wrote. "Forever in my heart. I love you daddy."
And then it hit me.
"This bitch." I said.
"Any ideas now?" Cairo asked me.
I should've known. Of course it was her. "Kiana." I said a little above a whisper before sitting back in the chair.
"I gotta go check up on Reiya man. Imma hit y'all up later." I said while getting up and dapping up Cairo and Malikai.
I left out and walked out to my car and drove to the hospital she was in. I walked in and checked in at the front desk.
After doing all of that I walked into her room and she still looked the same. I sat beside her in the chair at her bedside. "Hey sweetheart." I said quietly while rubbing her hand.
Her heart rate sped up which happens often and it scared me the first time it happened but when I asked the doctor about it they just said it's her bodies way of saying she's excited.
"I miss you so much baby. You need to get off the these damn cords.." I said to her while rubbing her hand.
I stared at the tv and I felt her finger twitch and I looked down at her. "Squeeze my hand if you can baby." I said and I felt a light squeeze on my thumb.
"Good. Good. Now can you lift your finger?" I asked and she lifted it just barely.
"Dr. Leslie!" I yelled and she walked in a couple seconds later.
"Yes sir?" She said while coming in.
"I'm getting her to respond with different movements." I said.
"Let me take a look. Alright Sereiya. If you can hear me rub Justin's hand baby." She said and she rubbed her thumb down my hand weakly.
"Can you wiggle your toes?" She said and Sereiya wiggled her toes.
"Alright great. We can bring her out of this coma baby. She's very responsive. You can call family and friends and we will have her up in about 3 hours if we can." She said while smiling.
I walked out of the room and stood in the hallways. "Thank you god." I said a little above a whisper while looking up toward the ceiling.
I picked up my phone and called everybody on a group call and as always everybody picked up.
"Hey baby." Mrs. Carter said.
"Sereiya showing movements. They pulling her from her coma." I said while smiling and her face lit up.
"Ahhhh shit my bald head ass sister finna be up looking crusty and shit." Ryan said while briefly looking down at the phone since he was driving.
"Alright here we come." It was only immediate family in the group, like Ryan, Liv, Dave, and Mrs.Carter.
I felt it was most important if they knew first and from there we can just tell the others.
Everybody came into the room and I spoke to everybody and we all laughed and talked until it was time for Sereiya to wake up.
The doctor walked in after a couple of minutes. "Alright. We're gonna get her up. She's not gonna take for a couples of minutes just because we have to get the breathing tube out." She said and we all nodded.
I was so proud for things to finally be getting back slightly normal. Now it's just to get my daughter back. I know who has her so this should be fairly simple. ____________________________________ Y'all! I am sooo bored with this book it makes zero sense. I don't have any motivation to write it.
I decided I'm coming out with another book. I'm still gon continue this one soooo yea.
And the character list for soul ties (the new book) should be out by now. 🙂
