Right now I was sitting on FaceTime with Liv and we were trying to figure out how to tell her parents that she was pregnant.
My parents had scheduled her a doctors appointment to be totally sure and sure enough she was pregnant.
"Look. Just come over and bring your parents. Maybe they can come to some sort of agreement." She said and I nodded.
"Okay. Imma be there in about 15 minutes." I said and she nodded while hanging up.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and I saw my mom and dad were both sitting at the island eating.
"Y'all. Liv ready to tell her parents and she wants y'all to be there." I said and they nodded.
"Understandable. Lemme go get my shoes and purse." My mom said. "Oh and take Liv some of this pasta." She said and I nodded.
She walked away to go grab her purse and my dad put on his slippers and a hoodie.
I picked up my keys and walked outside to my black Range Rover. I sat in the drivers seat until they came out and got in.
I drove to her house and we all got out and knocked on the door. Liv opened the door and I handed her the food and hugged her.
She let us in and told us to go sit in the kitchen at the island.
"Her parents gon be acting a ass. I would hate to have the slap a bitch behind my son in they own house." My mom said and I kind of laughed because I knew she would slap this lady in her own house like it's ours.
A few seconds later her parents came into the kitchen and her dad and mom paused. "Why do you have these hoodlums in my house." Her dad asked and my mom moved around in her seat and I could tell she wanted to say something but she didn't.
"Mom and dad. Please sit down." Liv said and they stared at her and sat down.
"So me and Ryan have been meaning to tell y'all that I'm pregnant." She said and her dad got up and walked towards her and choked her up against the wall.
Me and my dad both jumped up. He hit her dad and when my dad hit him he released Liv making her fall to the ground.
"Hey you okay?" I asked while squatting down to her and she nodded and wiped her tears. I brought her around to sit down beside my mom.
"I don't know what the fuck is wrong with y'all but y'all need to quit acting so bitter. Y'all have to understand that she's pregnant by me which means we're all going to have to get along. Y'all can't keep acting like this." I said.
"Man what the hell is wrong with you? You sitting here putting your hands on your only daughter and not even to mention she's pregnant. Do you know how bad you just put that child's life in danger?" My mom yelled while pointing in Olivia's dads face.
My mom turned towards Liv. "Baby has this be reoccurring? Has your dad been hitting you?" I looked towards her and she dropped her head.
I shook my head and I got up and walked towards her dad and punched him in his nose but he didn't do anything back.
"You gon sit here and put your hands on your daughter but not me? You a bitch man." I said and I hit him again but he still just sat in the chair.
"Man get up. I want you to do me how you do Liv. You got all that energy with a female and now that I'm in your face you just wanna sit here." I said while kind of raising my voice.
"Hey stop hitting him." Livs mom said while trying to approach me.
"Take one more step towards my son and imma knock yo ass out." My mom said and she was still walking towards me.
My mom got up and dragged her mom back to her chair. She tried to move out of my moms grip and my mom hit her in the face. "Sit the fuck down. Move one more time and imma knock yo old ass out." She said and her mom sat there.
"Now let's talk like grown ups." My mom said while fixing her hair and going back to her chair. "Are y'all going to stop acting so fucking dumb and take care of y'all's grandchild? This not even about me, my husband, Ryan or Liv. This is about y'all's grandchild." My mom said and her parents both scoffed.
"Liv either you're going to get an abortion or you're going to get the hell out of this house." Her mom said and liv's head shot up.
"What?" She said and her voice cracked.
"You heard me. Either you get rid of that baby or you can find some where else stay and find your own income." She said.
"Ma I'm not getting rid of my baby. If you want me to leave then fine." She said and she went upstairs and I followed her.
"Why would she do that? I only wanted support from them." She said and I grabbed her arm and made her turn towards me.
"Hey calm down okay? I got us. If they don't want to be in yours or the baby's life cool. Don't stress yourself out because they aren't even going to lose sleep behind it." I said and she nodded.
I sat on her bed while she packed a bag and sat it on the bed. Once she got done I picked the bag up and we walked back downstairs.
"Come on yall." I said and my mom and dad got up and walked towards us and we walked out.
They both got in the backseat while me and Liv rode in the front. "I'm sorry they act like that." Liv said and my dad smacked his lips.
"Don't apologize for they actions. They grown as hell. They just stupid. Like yea I was mad too but I'm not gon abandon my child knowing y'all are going to need help." My dad said and my mom nodded.
"But don't worry about them. You gon come stay with us and we gon get all this straightened out and get everything straight." My mom said I nodded while looking up in the rear view mirror.
"Thank you guys so much. I don't know how I'll ever repay y'all." Liv said.
"Girl don't even try. All of this is because one I know you and Ryan ain't breaking up plus you carrying my grandchild. This all love. Don't ever try to repay us for something we're supposed to do." My mom said while I pulled up in the driveway.
"Alright so this is how this is going to go. You of course know you're welcome to anything in this house. Towels are in the closet right across from Ryan's room. You guys of course can stay in the same room because you can't get more pregnant." My mom said and Liv laughed.
"Any rules I need to know?" She said.
"Just clean up behind yourself. That's about it tho really. We don't have many rules in the house so just do your thing." My dad said and she nodded.
