Beau had finally returned home from school and tossed his belongings at the front of the door in haste. "Beau, put it in your room." You scolded him, lifting up his items.

"Or what? You'll kill me too?" He shouted back. "Beau!" Your eyes widened as you watched him go into the room.

You quietly entered his room behind him and set his things aside. "Beau... you have to let that go. You promised you would." You frowned at the flashing images that haunted you.

"Yeah, but it's different when I see that you're never going to change (Y/N)." He shook his head, throwing his shoes off. A loud thud hit the wall as his shoe bounced off. You walked over and kneeled in front of him as he sat at the edge of his bed.

"You have to trust me Beau..." You sighed, grabbing his hand. He looked down at you with wary eyes. He wanted to trust you. "Will you promise everything will be alright?" He asked,  you nodded your head and kissed his palm gently. "I promise Beau." You smiled. He nodded back softly in understanding.

You left the house to do some grocery shopping, marking down the list you didn't have many items that you needed. Thankfully it was quite cheap to feed just the two of you when neither of you were picky eaters.

As you lifted the milk into your cart you felt yourself accidentally push into someone, the force caused you to drop the milk and topple over them, pushing them onto your cart. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorr-" Your sentence was shortly cut off when you noticed it had been Joe you bumped into.

"It's... quite alright." He smiled it off, dusting off his shoulders and recollecting himself. Something didn't sit quite right with you.

"Joe." You folded your arms at the mention of his name. "We've really gotta stop running into each other." He awkwardly laughed back. "What's wrong? You getting sick of seeing me?" He asked. "No, only suspicious." You replied, focusing deeply on how drastic his features changed in a matter of seconds.

His smile quickly dropped, you latched onto his hand and noticed he'd been so nervous by your response his hands were sweating. He quickly retreated his arm and wiped it down his jeans. "Suspicious of what?" He asked, furrowing his brows. "I've seen all I've needed to." You smiled, leaving the carts on the floor for him to pick up.

You could get milk another day.

Returning home, you went and stocked the fridge with the groceries you'd just bought. Beau walked out to help you but paused within a minute. "Do you wear mens cologne or was everything you said earlier a lie?" He asked, aggressively tucking away the food beside you. "Well, I could start off with the fact that I live with another male but I don't need to explain myself to you. I'm an adult." You retorted, and he remained silent while he finished helping you.
