I came home from school and I couldn't find my mom who said that she would be at the door. I check her room, the kitchen, bathroom, the rest of the house. She wasn't there so I just did homework. First math, ela, writing, science, and then band. After taking an thirty minute break I heard a knock at the door. Finally, the lady is home. When I opened the door my mom rushed in giving me a squeeze.
"Mom, what are you doing?" I said hardly breathing.
"I am so sorry I wasn't here, but I got a promotion and I am going to get more money!" I laughed and hugged her back.
"That's good." I smiled pushing away.
