Karter's pov

Ethan had just dropped me off at home.
Right before my mom and brother got home.

My mom actually wasn't mad about me leaving school she probably believed I was actually sick. She saw me going through withdrawals and probably knows my immune system isn't the same from all the drugs.

I just laid in my bed thinking about today.
Holy shit.
all that's happened today.
I made a bet with Ethan.
A weird bet.
A bet I'm going to win.
You know how I know?
Because I've got trust issues and walls the size of the Empire State Building.
And I know he'll leave.
They always do.
He'll just get bored or just realize he can get someone better. He hasn't seen the thing everyone else apparently has.

My phone all of a sudden buzzes snapping me out of my thoughts.

We assumed it was something like that anyways there this party tonight and me and cass are gonna go if you feel better you should come

I'll go I feel way better and would rather go out then stay here on a Friday night.
