Christmas, supposedly the happiest time of the year right? Well that's not the case for Colby. He isn't a big fan of Christmas because out of any time, it's during Christmas holidays that he's reminded the most of being single.

People don't get how he can still be single, trying to get him together with people. When they don't know, is that Colby is already in love with someone. However, there's a big catch, the guy is in a relationship. Sam is dating Katrina and there's nothing Colby can do about it.

He looked up from editing, glancing at Sam who was just hanging some decorations on the fireplace and staircase. Unlike him, Sam was like a kid on Christmas. Whistling Carol's and making the house look festive.

Santa Claus won't make me happy with a toy on Christmas Day

Colby couldn't take his eyes off of Sam, not even when the other caught him staring and made his way to the couch next to the brunette.

"Hey what's up?" Sam sounded a bit concerned.

" Nothing, just thinking about stuff." Colby smiled, playing it off as nothing.

" Okay... Well, I'm most likely not going to be here on Christmas Eve. Kat wants to spend it alone with me, just the two of us."

Colby felt a pang of jealousy at hearing that. He was going to be all alone this year. It wasn't fair. He didn't want much, he didn't ask for much or did he? He just wanted Sam, that was the only thing he ever truly longed for.

Days went by and it was Christmas Eve. Colby woke up at his usual time, almost lunch time and he quickly realized Sam was gone. He didn't even get to say goodbye to him or Merry Christmas before he went to Katrina. The day flew by faster than usual and before he knew it it was dark outside.

He could hear the laughter and singing of his neighbors and people outside. He looked out of the window and had to chuckle when he saw little snowflakes flying through the air. It was snowing...in Hawaii... What a miracle. Only for Colby a miracle would have been something else. He hugged himself as he gazed out of the window. He wanted Sam here with him.

He sang and closed his eyes. He was brought out of his thoughts by the sound of a door unlocking and opening. He turned his head to the entrance and saw freezing Sam. He forgot his jacket again it seemed like.

"Sam? What..."

" Don't say anything just..."

Sam quickly made his way to Colby. Wrapping his arms around him kissing him, surprising the hell out of Colby.

"What are you doing?" He asked when pulled away. Sam just smiled at him.

"Finally making the right choice." Sam looked up and smirked when he saw the mistletoe hanging from the ceiling.

"Mistletoe...Merry Christmas Colby."

He kissed him again and this time Colby melted into it. Happiness spreading through him. This was everything he ever wanted. His wish finally came true...
