Chapter 12

"Andy shelby get out of the car!" mom shouted as I heard glass shatter and water slashing everywhere.

My back collided with the back window and I flew out of the car and into the water.

"Andy give me your hand" I said with a sob. I pulled him out and he landed into the water with a slap as I turned to my mom. I grabbed her hand trying to pull her out. "hold on momma"

"baby it's okay" she said softly.

"mom!" I shouted setting up from my bed. I immediately regretted the sudden moments as I felt a sting in my head. I looked around patting as stared at my dark room. "Shelby?" I felt a cold hand on my shoulder suddenly. I flinched and saw Emmett by my side.

"how did you get in here?" I asked. "the window.. Are you okay?" he asked concern lacing his voice.

I nodded. "bad dream... That's all" I scooted so my back was up against my head bord. He followed in suit and kept his eyes on me. "I wanted to check on you" he explained.

"I know your scared to be with me but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stay away from you"

I was about to lean my head on his shoulder but my door cracked open. "Shelby?" It was uncle Charlie. I snapped my head to my bed to find it empty.

Charlie walked to my side and sat on the side. "I'm fine it was just a nightmare"

Andy's voice was Next "shelb?" I leaned over and saw him with Bella behind him. "she's fine go back to bed" Andy didn't move but Bella did. I nodded giving him the okay. He sighed and left.

"close call" Emmett said jumping through my window. I slightly smirked and shook my head. He smiled showing the dimples I loved so much. He slowly climb in the bed and lied down. I stayed seated too scared to ask for cuddles.

"you gonna lay down?" he said patting his chest. I smiled and snuggled up to his cold chest. He pulled the blanket over the both of us and his strong arms wrapped around me protectively.

"I was so scared of losing you" Emmett spoke. I snuggled my head under his neck as he continued. "when that van came all I cared about was if you were okay"

"I'm alright just shooken up is all" I replied playing with the draw strings of his hoodie. His massive hand played with my hair calming me down. He definitely reminds me of a gentle giant.
He actions so loathed me to sleep. It was the best sleep I had in along time. I truly felt safe with him.... But that doesn't me being with him is safe.
