Chapter 14

The next day Emmett and I entered the cafeteria and I pulled him towards my friend's table. I looked over at my cousin and saw her staring at Edward while the rest of our friends joked around. She had them completely zoned out. I looked over at the Cullens and they smiled at me. I waved back as I sat down in between Tyler and Emmett.

"La Push, baby. You in?" Eric asked me. I laughed. "Should I know what that means?" I asked while opening my bag of chips.

"La Push beach down on the Quileute rez" Mike explained. "We’re all going after school. Big swell coming in"

"And I don't just surf the internet," Eric  laughed as he stood up on his chair and pretended to surf. Angela slapped his side playfully and pulled him back to the ground. I chuckled and glanced over back at the Cullen table. Jasper and Damon were arm wrestling and Alice was talking 100 miles an hour to Stefan. He only nodded obviously not really paying attention then glanced over at me. He watched my rambunctious friends and smirked as I rolled my eyes. I grabbed Emmett's hand and pulled him away.

"wait you two coming or not?" Eric asked before we could go to far. I stopped and turned back to him. "maybe"

"There's whale watching too!" Angela shouted. "can't wait" I said back as we walked towards the rest of the family.

"Come on baby La Push" Damon laughed imitating Mike. I laughed and pushed his shoulder. "shut up, I don't even know if I'm going"

"you could go to a cold ass beach or you Could come to our house a watch movies" Rosalie smiled. Damon groaned and hit his head on the table. "depends on what movies"

"she made him watch titanic last night" Stefan said. I raised an eyebrow. "it's pretty cool movie once you figure out how it's made" I said.

"I didn't know you were into that kinda thing" Alice smiled. "yeah I'm hoping to go to film school"

"what genre?" Jasper asked. "horror and thrillers mostly" I said.

"so ditch the beach and come with us?" Jasper asked. I nodded. "sure"

"yay!" Alice smiled.

"your house is amazing" I said walking  in to the brightly lit mansion with Emmett and Damon.

"it's alright" Damon said. "me and Stefan have another house back in Virginia. He said walking up the stairs.

"Esme, Emmett brought Shelby!" Alice said racing up the stairs. Emmett sighed as his sister's enthusiasm. Alice came zooming back down the stairs and stood next to Jasper. A woman with reddish brown hair came down the stairs with a kind smile. She just looked like a mother and it made me sad and happy at the same time. I was happy this woman chose to take care all of them but it reminded me of what I lost.

"it's nice to finally meet you" Esme smiled and pulled me into a hug. I gladly excepted it. I miss the feeling of motherly hug the made you feel safe.

"it's nice to meet you Mrs. Cullen" I said putting up my best manners. She smiled. "Esme I fine" I nodded and stood next to Emmett.

"is Stefan at football practice?" Esme asked. Damon nodded. "he'll be home around 5 or so" he replied and walked into the living room with Rosalie. Emmett smiled and grabbed my hand and led me to the living room.

"what movie do you want to watch?" Alice asked skipping behind us. Damon laughed. "out of chill pills Alice?" Rosalie slapped the back of his head.

"how about nightmare on elm Street" everyone agreed. Are time together was cut short though as my phone rang. I sat up from my spot next to Emmett and answered the phone.

"hello?"

"will you please come over?" it was Bella. She sounded desperate as the sound of the water moved around reminding me she got dragged to LA push Beach.

"why?" I asked my cousin. She started stuttering out how some of Jacob's friends were bad mouthing Edward and her friend were making her uncomfortable.

"I'm... Busy" I sighed. Damon looked over at me and downed his whisky. "well if you get guilt tripped into going ill take you" I raised an eyebrow at the vampire. "fine, I'll be there" before Bella could answer I hung up.

"doesn't the treaty apply to you too?"

"nothing really applies to Damon" Jasper said rolling his eyes. "we aren't part of the Covent per say, as far as the mutts are concerned"

"hay asshole I am one of those 'mutts'" I said as Rosalie hit him. "right" he mumbled. "come on short stack"

Emmett kissed my cheek before I sat up. "if anything happens to her I'll drive a dozen stakes through your chest" Emmett shouted as we left.

Once Damon and I were out a view he started monking Emmett. "yeah, yeah, kill, murder... Bye!" he shouted as we left the house.

"I thought the Cullens didn't come here?" Mike asked. Damon rolled his eyes. "well I'm not a Cullen"

"hey Jake" I smiled and waved at the boy setting next to Bella. "I thought you were Edward's cousin?" bella stuttered.

"distant cousins technically but.. If you want to get more technical my mother wasn't a cullen but her sister married one" Damon had the story down or what ever part he and Stefan made up to stay with the Cullens.

"so Isabella you want to leave or not?" bella looked down. Damon didn't care what she thought nor did he care what her friends thought of her. As far as we were concerned we wanted to go back to the house.

"ye-yeah let's go" she stuttered walking towards Damon's blue car.
