Chapter 10

I woke up the next morning in my bed still curled up in the hoodie Emmett gave me. My head throbbed from the lack off sleep and I just wanted to sleep. I buried my head into my pillow trying to get at least few more minutes. My wish wasn't granted when my door bursted opened.

"wake up sis! We're gonna be late" my brother slightly shouted. Then there was a honk. Me and Andy raced to my window and saw a white jeep. "and Emmett cullen is here... Why is he here?" Andy asked. I shrugged then pushed him out of my room to get ready.

I Shedded the hoodie and quickly changed into some jeans and a red flannel. I raced down stairs and before I could get out the day uncle Charlie stopped me."who's outside?"

"Emmett cullen he's giving me a ride" I said truthfully. "what's wrong with your impala?"

"nothing... Don't worry uncle we're just friends" i didn't know who I was lying to more, me or him. He didn't say anything else and let me go.

"hay beautiful" he smirked as gave him a hug before climbing into the jeep. "you want a ride to Andy?" I hear Emmett ask after he closed the door. Seconds later andy jumped into the backseat.

After school I decided to hang out with Bella. I was laying on the hood of her truck waiting for Emmett to get out of the school."what do you know about the Cullens? You hang out with them"

"not much, I just recently started talking to them" I said watching the slushy snow hit my sunglasses. I hoped of the hood and saw Bella eyeing Edward. "you like him, don't you?"

"yeah-no! Maybe.. I don't know" she stuttered and started gripping the zipper of her coat. I chuckled. "well let me know when you get your priorities straight"

Bella rolled her eyes. "Emmett Cullen is eyeing you" I looked over and smiled at him. He was setting on the hood of Stefan's porch with a smirk on his face. I shook my head as Stefan pushed him off this car.

I was about to walk over to him but I heard the sound of tires screeching. My eyes widened as I saw Tyler's van coming for me and Bella. Bella grabbed my trying to pull me out of the way but it's too late. I frozen in my place and body jolted with fear as old flashbacks hit my mind. I covered my face my fear of cars hitting me like a freight train.

I felt the Van hit my arm but I didn't hit the concrete like I expected. My eyes opened slowly and I found myself in Emmett's arms.

"what hurts? Are you okay?" Emmett asked. I was shaking in his arms as tears slid down my cheek. I was convinced I was dying but the cold hand I grew to love cupped my cheek and lifted my face up.

He looked me in the eyes. "it's okay, your okay. I got you" he whispered.

I shook my head and cupped his cheek. "I'm fine but get you and your brother out of here before people start asking questions" I said my voice had a slight sob at the end. Emmett nodded before kissing my forehead and set me down. As soon as he left our friends and half the school gathered around us.

"shell!" Marshall slid on the ice and stopped to my side standing me up gently. "you okay? Angela is calling an Ambulance" I nodded as I leaned on Marshall's side as we waited for the ambulance.
