Scarlet's POV:

The smell of fresh food fills my senses as soon I step through the door. I did not realize how hungry I am until now. There's a few people here, not too busy. The music is very faint and not overstimulating. Chris and I end up choosing to sit at a booth in the corner, with little to no surprise.

After a waiter gets our order, I take note of Chris' sunglasses.

"You ever going to take off your sunglasses?" I ask with a teasing tone.

"I'm kind of known for my glasses," he simply replies. I tilt my head at him, a smile sneaking it's way on my face. "You have a really nice smile."

Well, that's surprising. I can't help but chuckle a little before replying, "Thank you, but you might be the only person that thinks that, Motionless."

He takes a sip from his drink and I can see his brow is raised from behind his sunglasses. "You have a genuine smile though, that's why it's so nice."

"You have a nice smile, too."

   "I have a big smile."

"You literally just complimented my big ass smile I have," I almost exclaim. Laughter flows out of me and I end up covering my face at his hypocrisy. His laugh echoes mine and I can't help but love the way our laughter sounds together. He's very contagious, noted again.

"We have to shut up this is a quiet place," Chris laughs softly now. I hush him as our food gets to our table. We thank the waiter and get to eating, quiet for a bit because of how hungry we are. My sandwich I ordered is surprisingly filling and I can't help but wish I eyed something smaller on the menu. "So how long have you known Vinny?" Chris asks, breaking the silence.

"I want to say for about 2 years now, our friendship is relatively newer compared to my other friends," I answer.

"I've overheard your name from him a couple times but I can never keep up with the guy," Chris smiles. He takes a bite out of his food before continuing, "How long have you been tattooing by the way?"

"That's a good question," I nervously laugh, "Um, I think 6 years now. No, more like 7 now."

"Damn, you must be good if you were tattooing that long."

"Could be better, there's always room for improvement in anything," I shrug. "My main comfort zone is black and grey scale anything. I hate doing traditional tattoos, I can do them just fine but I really dislike that style for some reason."

"Definitely couldn't tell that by the looks of your sleeves, but the next time I need a tattoo I just might go to you," he smirks.

"Scarlet!" Aurora's muffled voice calls out. I whip my head around to see her waving through the window frantically. Oh God. My eyebrow raises and I shake my head in disbelief. She shuffles in through the door of the cafe, smiling with Andy in tow behind her.

"Hey Chris!" Andy greets before turning to hug me. "Good morning Scar."

  "Afternoon now," I chuckle.

  "Whatever."

"Hi Chris, didn't realize you stole my brunch date," Aurora jokes, her signature devilish grin on her face.

"Oh-"

I interrupt Chris, "That's my fault. I didn't notice what time you had asked for us to meet. Wait is this the place?" I look around and scan the walls to see the name of the cafe, only to realize the name matches the one she had texted me. Shit.
