Lottie has a slip of paper in her hand, and her face is possessed with anguish and fear.

"He left it for both of us," she murmurs, "he said he's going to save us from the Maravish royal family."

"What?" You snatch the paper from her hand, dread and confusion growing larger and larger inside you. Sure enough, that's what the letter says, "Oh God I knew he would turn completely insane."

You screw it up and drop it into a pocket of your soaking, mud covered coat. Then empty a paper bag of Lola's peppermints she left in the hideout and scoop the ruins of the wolf pendant into it, shoving that into your other pocket.

"What are you doing?" Lottie asks, watching with a crease in her brow and panic in her eyes.

"I'm going after him."

After Jamie is officially claimed missing, you, Lottie and Ellie are whisked back to the Maravish palace in no time.

You stay in your room for your majority of the time there, trying to formulate a plan or a way of getting Jamie back.

In the night you head out of your room, searching for Lottie to talk to. You turn a corner and see Lottie and Ellie together, Lottie looks awfully confused and Ellie has her hands on her shoulders.

"You can't go after Jamie, promise me, Lottie. Let us handle it. It's not your responsibility," she whispers, "tell y/n too, I know it will be hard to reason with her but going after him will put you both in immense danger, and I can't imagine the thought of you getting hurt more because of what my family has done."

You walk away at that point, knowing no matter what anyone says, it's not going to prevent you from following Jamie, and ultimately saving him from the wrath and manipulation of the Leviathan.

You stay up late into the night, and wake up the next morning still at your desk, with a dead arm from where you were sleeping on it.

You shake it off and travel back to Rosewood with Lottie and Ellie, rushing straight to your room through the Ivy corridors.

You stop as you see Percy heading towards you, he notices you and immediately looks concerned.

Are you okay? He signs.

Jamie? You sign back, not able to elaborate with your limited knowledge of his language.

He shakes his head, then slowly finger spells Vampy.

You gasp as you remember, then point to Jamie and Percy's room, asking permission to enter.

Percy nods dismissively, and continues on his way, waving half-heartedly.

You rush into the room, and are immediately met with the faint smell of Jamie and nearly all of his belongings.

Vampy is sat on the windowsill lazily, and for once he doesn't look angry or temperamental, but tired. Which is strange, because he's a cat.

He notices you walk in and lets out a droning meow, before pattering over to you.

"Hey Vampy. Missing Jamie?"

He rubs his face against your leg, and you crouch down to scratch his head, "me too."

Your eyes wander around Jamie's side of the room, novels and poetry books everywhere, chaotic scribbles in open notepads, a few random photos and clothes that he never bothered to put away.

You spot his Ivy house jumper, and realise how cold you are, so sneakily grab it along with Vampy in your other hand, buckling slightly at the large cat's weight.
