The Truth About Forever {Chapter One}
Charissa’s POV
“I have died every day waiting for you, darling don’t be afraid I have loved you for a thousand years…” the peaceful Christina Perri song was blaring through the radio, in my mini cooper.
“For f*ck’s sakes, turn the god-damn horrible music off or change the stupid station, it’s killing my ears,” Trisha exclaims beside me.
“I like it,” I retort, trying to stay calm, it’s hard for Trisha not to be complaining all the time, she just needs everything her way, “I’m not changing it.”
“Fine,” she sighs, “I don’t know what’s wrong with music nowadays.”
I ignore her, continuing to enjoy the beautiful music, nothing particularly in mind. I glanced at the clock, eight o’clock. Ten more minutes to get to school.
I pressed hard on the pedal, speeding up. Trisha beside me, looking bored, lit a cigarette, and then taking a long breath, inhales everything in.
“Trisha! For the last time, no smoking in the car! My mom would kill me if she knows that we even own a pack of cigarettes.”
“God. Okay. Take a chill pill for god’s sakes,” Trisha screams at me, but continues smoking.
“Trisha! You little b*tch, put that out, now.”
“Dude, I’ve lit it already, no point putting it out until I finish it. Duh,” she rolls her eyes and stares out the window, inhaling and out haling, making the car stink up.
I stop at the red light in front us, thanking God for it. “Put the f*cking cigarette out now!” I pull the butt of the cigarette from her and threw it out the window.
“Oi!” she exclaims, “I wasn’t done with that!”
The car behind us honks and I jump in surprise. Today was not going to my day. “Like I give a f*ck,” as I continued speeding down the highway.
After 6.45 minutes of awkward silence, we have arrived to Stantario High School aka my school, I was about to park my cooper in the usual spot, right under the tall oak tree which gives perfect shade to my car, but something was completely wrong. Someone’s silver Bentley Continental was already in my area. But that area was mine only and everyone knows that. That’s just how the school works, the more important you are in the school, the better of a car park spot you get. You have to understand that. And whoever takes up your parking space is pretty much in deep sh*t.
It may sound stupid, but it’s important if you want your life spared.
Of course, Trisha immediately notices this and gives me an unnecessary high pitched scream. “Oh my god! Someone took our space.”
Correction: my place. But whatever. Trisha used to have a car, and not to mention, the space beside me but it got re-possessed, because, as expected from Trisha, she was caught doing it in her car. That is as detailed as I would get.
