"What was that about?"
As expected, three of my older brothers with their hands on their waists, greet me on the front door. Ridge is shaking his head while the other two is smiling at me like a couple of crazy parents. I definitely see our parents in the way they stare at me. Imagine, if they're around by this moment, mom would be dragging me to their bedroom to ask a lot of things while my father couldn't help himself but let his wife take me.
"He's just a classmate from school who happens to be riding a bike while I was walking! Stop bugging me about it!" I sweep and part passed them.
"A classmate? A classmate who tucks your hair and puts band aid on your cheeks????" Asher in his always hysterical mode. Okay, they've seen that.
Before pedaling on his bike, Galvin finally notices a scratch on my left cheek which I completely missed because my hair was all over my face.
"You got into a fight again?" Ridge asks seriously. "You looked like you lost." I see a small grin forms on his lips. Sometimes he is unhappy but sometimes he takes part of my victory.
"I won!" I giggle, "That girl's lipstick stains all over the floor!"
He nods while the other two still teases me, simultaneously touching the band aid on my cheek. It must be fun being the only girl in the house.
While lying down on my bed, I noticed the band aid is still pressed good on my skin. Is it an unconscious me who shrugs it off while I brush my face or I just left it there, knowingly?
I peel it off because of a feeling I've never felt before. Gross, but I stick it on the wood under my bed because it's not worthy to be thrown away.
DAYS counted really fast. In just a few weeks, I'd be in a situation I never imagined I'd be. Actually, it shouldn't be a problem anymore since Galvin already agreed to be my date so the plan is, he just have to show up and I'll never play a game with the soccer team anymore. Better yet, I'll stop being friends with them.
Just kidding.
Since it's just a few weeks, all the girls are already getting their gowns prepped; some bought a new, some made theirs just for this occasion while here I am, putting in my mindset that there is no need to rush. If tomorrow's the ball, I'd still be able to get one for myself to wear for a night of misery.
Icarus approaches with two trays carrying our lunch because I don't know what happened but he just woke up and decided to treat us today.
"I really can't figure out what has gotten into you. This is the first time!" Stephen and I both decided to tease him until karma hits back.
I spilled the coffee on myself due to the loose cover. There's literally a brown stain with black granules over my spotless white shirt. It's not the hot liquid that might burn my chest but the fact that I didn't bring any spare shirt. I only bring something to change with when it's a gym or field day.
"Just lend me your clothes." They both stare at me in guilt; both biting their lips.
"I didn't bring mine." They answered in chorus. I roll my eyes and snatch all of the tissues Icarus has taken and make my way towards the restroom.
I only managed to remove the coffee granules but the color stays the same. It's brown and it obviously looks wet. It's just lunch time, I still have half the day to keep up with this trouble.
I was laughing and squeezing the coffee water from my clothes when I bumped into Galvin in the hallway. Ever since that dare, our path became smaller and I don't know, I've been seeing him a lot lately. In any way, I can't think of it as stalking because in every situation, it's reasonable for him to be around. Similar to this moment, he's obviously on his way to dispose his lunch since the trash bin is just beside the restrooms.
