Treanne

I ARRIVED at Coach Simon's residence wearing Ridge's old jersey shirt tucked in a ripped-jeans. "Make sure to text me thirty minutes before twelve or we'll be both dead." Kaizer reminds with annoyed eyes before finally letting me go to an all boys' party. They aren't actually worried about me. They trust me and also my friends except Stephen -- he's kind of an extremely mischievous person.

Alexa, the coach's wife greets me by the door and it took me by surprise that this is not a wild party like. We head straight to the kitchen while overhearing the team's noises as they play video games with only nachos and sodas in front of them.

"I thought we are all drinking and partying." Alexa giggles while chopping onions, "Yeah. I thought so too but here they are, just screwing around like kids."

I try to find something to do since there isn't much a party I could participate. Alexa adds, "I told them no beers allowed and although I was just joking, they kindly obeyed. You should see the backyard, there's the real party."

I open the door behind me. She's right, there's a sound system, the pool with balloons and a table full of party treats but still no beer in sight. I was about to step out when Coach Simon walks out before me, the team following him with another case of different juice and soda. Seriously, no alcohol?

"You made it!" A guy named Timothy slammed my shoulder really hard thinking I am not a girl. It almost dislocated.

Someone else drags me with them around the rectangle table where the foods are put over.

"Now that we are all complete..." Simons looks around including me, "We welcome another year, another season to compete. Another trophy to bring home. Another round to win hoping that Treanne will be our cheerleader even though she'd rather be a goalkeeper."

I roll my eyes, "You really have to include that."

"We wish you all strength and energy to greet this season with competence and goal to win. Thank you! Let's party!"

It was all beers and barbeques and a little bit of booze until it's only an hour left until my time as Cinderella to be up. I find it weird that I'm actually enjoying this mini party. My two close friends just laughing their lives out of happiness, sniffing booze with a bottle of beer on the other hand. Some of them are tipsy and some are almost drunk they don't know what they're doing anymore.

The only girl besides me at the party is already asleep with her son in their bedroom upstairs while coach, the husband is sleeping on a lawn, drooling and wasted.

"Okay, next spin to see who's the unlucky one." I forgot that we were playing a game, spin the bottle featuring truth or dare. We were playing with a little twist because you don't get to choose if you'll do truth or dare but there's a wheel of unfortune standing next to you.

And having been chosen at the least thirty minutes of my stay, the mouth of the bottle stops to my knee. We're sitting Indians, on a circle.

"Our Princess, Treanne!" Marcus, one of the goal-keepers teases.

"This should be fun." I say before I spin the wheel. It spins for a really long time until it landed to a pretty weird dare.

"Woah." They started cheering as if their drunkenness has escaped from their bodies and they suddenly felt enthusiastic about my punishment.

"School Dare: Romantic Style." It's quite a topic and then the other guys will decide what scenario specifically will happen.

The clock is ticking. They are on their chins carefully thinking of how to make fun of me. Icarus and Stephen are falling asleep but they're trying so hard to coerce on what dare should I do.

"Come on, guys! This must not be so hard." I complain to how long they're taking."

"Oh, I got one!" Frank, who's excitedly on his feet raises his hands as if we're in a class recitation. "French kiss one of the girls on your class."

I don't feel drunk before but I wanna throw up after he said that. I mean, I am not totally against it but I am boyish but definitely not into girls that I'd be doing something like that. A kiss on a cheek is difficult but damn, that is impossible.

Icarus smack him on the back of his head. He is clearly drunk.

"Our friend is still a girl, dude. He'd rather French kiss you than the awful girls in our class." He rolls his eyes in support of me then high fives me in the air.

"Something less gross okay, since the senior ball is coming up in three months, why don't we do something related to that?" The sort of the team leader suggests a more decent idea. Hell, why am I agreeing when I don't even plan on attending?

Everyone thinks again. They're taking it too serious; even more serious than they do in academics.

"You guys are so funny." I started fixing myself since the time has ran fast, Kaizer will be here any minute now. I can imagine my older brother telling him to leave thirty minutes ahead of the said time to make sure he picks me up before the grandpa clocks starts sounding like a death bell.

"Hurry up! His brother will come pick her up anytime!" I didn't see who just said that, he's right. One by one they start to panic like my deal is the most important deal of their lives. Suddenly, there's a car honking on the backyard, it's Kaizer.

"So? What now?" I gather myself up then finishes the drink on my hand. I sometimes can't believe I am a better drinker than these guys. There are things indeed that fits me as a boy aside from being so fond of them.

I take a step then right before I smirk to how easy I'm getting off this weird game, Stephen thought of something weirder.

"Bring Baby Cakes as a date to Senior Ball. That's final. I'm closing the deal." He sounds like spitting fire delivering those words. It's as if there's a ticking time bomb and he needs to finish his sentence when it's just me, leaving for the night; escaping what could really be the worst game ever.

I turn deaf as everyone shouts for joy to how brilliant his idea was. I saw Coach falls down from the lawn chair to how loud his team was. Everyone's on their feet and it makes me think that maybe they don't like me... they hate me to have made me do that kind of dare.

It's not just for the night. It's in three months!
