It's been a few days since the awkward night when I asked Galvin, and him finding it out first that I need a date to the ball. The thing is, it haunts my conscience when I haven't told him yet that it is a dare. Not because he might get the wrong idea but he might get offended that I played with him. Partly true because never in my life I'd ask him or any other guy to a ball.

I wait until the stoplight turns red so I can cross. It's a bright sunny morning but the family car is on the shop so I have to go commuting that leads to a lot of walking on my way to school.

"It's a go." There's a bunch of people who are walking to the other side, I didn't notice a guy, a little taller than me is following my steps. Right, left, right, left.

"Hey." I grab his attention while waving my hand on his face. He's on his earphones again, and it's just a coincidence we are walking together.

He didn't seem to notice me at first, "Treanne, hi."

"You didn't bring your bike today?" It's obvious, Treanne.

"I left it at school last night. Your brother's car?"

"It's at the shop." It surprises me that he knows Kaizer drives me to school. Not much of a conversation follows after his questions regarding our chemistry class to which I answer with a smile, a nod and the phrase, "not sure about that".

"See you later." Says Galvin, tapping my right shoulder.

Since I got in to my homeroom first, some of the girls are glaring at me. It definitely looked like Galvin walked me to my room as he stopped for a bit before tapping my shoulder. No worries, I am still wearing my baseball cap to remind everyone I am not interested to their baby cakes.

But I got him as a date to the ball... suck it girls.

"Woah." The guys in my class tease. Although, it seemed off that I wore a pink hoodie today. I didn't realize it until now that Isaac is showing me a picture — It's me walking to my deks, my head bowed down — asking me to post it.

Asher gave it to me the other night. He says he bought it for himself but they got him the wrong size.

"You and Baby Cakes are hitting it off!" A guy named Fred cheered to loud I heard a smash from the girl's side.

"Shut up." I throw my bag to him since we're basically seatmates.

A normal morning passes by until it's PE class. We all change to our gym clothes which is a pair of maroon t-shirt with a lion imprinted on the back, and a jogging pants with white stripes on the side.

I've been thinking why Galvin said "see you later" when we don't even have a class this afternoon. I slouch to one of the bleachers near the court with Stephen and Icarus when another class came in. Oh, yeah.

"Hey, it's baby cakes!" A guy who is certainly not Fred called my attention. He is literally looking at me making all the girls become so furious of it. Oh my gods, they do think we have something going on here.

"I thought they were over him already." While I try hard not to laugh, coach asks everyone to gather around.

"Let's just do some warm up for today. Cold season just flew by so I'm sure everyone didn't do exercise because sleeping in is better."

She blows her whistle and throws the ball to someone else.

We all team up, and as usual, I stayed with the guys. To make it even, excess numbers from the girls are forced to join us.

The first five exchange of the game is going really well until I realize all the girls are aiming the ball at me. Either I dodge it or someone takes it for me, I stayed on the game for the first few rounds but it's getting harder.
