It's about 3:45am now and I'm laying in bed completely lost in conversation with Traci (yeah I call him that now) " I know but I just feel like 3 big ass dogs is to much already, why do you want another one" " they're not that big.." ... the dogs in question.

"Yeah okay, well yo..I yawn.. you and I clearly have two different opinions on what's big" we bust out laughing and then I yawn again unfortunately no mater how hard I tried to fight it, it was time to get off the phone.. or so I thought ..I fix my bonnet and lay my head down "you up over there?" " yeah I'm just a little sleepy" "a little you ..he laughs you fighting it I heard ya lil yawns" " I'm sorry but it is 4am" " go to sleep kae" " you go to sleep Traci.." "hm well then good night" he says laughing at my fake attitude "Good night"as I'm waiting for him to hang up he doesn't, I think about it but I don't then I say "Traci" "yea" he says in a low groggy tone "you didn't hang up" " neither did you" "well" "good night kae" we laugh and literally fall asleep on the phone... well at least he did,me on the other hand I stayed up just a little longer thinking could I really handle being in a relationship on top of everything else going on in my life ...I don't know but Traci makes me want to try.
BRENTON
"Oh man you sure you my pops" Traci says as I embrace him in a hug "the one and only baby boy" I say ending our embrace with a handshake, he grabs one of my bags and we began to leave the airport. "Where's your mother I say as I round the car to get in the passengers seat "she was working in her office when I left" "good, new car or moms new car" "moms" "Mercedes gls" I say taking in the suv "it suits her" I add " glad you think so cause she traded a Tesla for it, said it didn't feel like her" he shrugged I laugh and rub the arm rest "pull over up there" I say pointing a little further up the street at a flower shop. I always brought Payton orchids when I came back from business trips.. I guess this time is no different. I was away on business even though that's not what kept me away. The car was one thing but pulling up to the house clarifies almost everything I needed to know.

We walk in and I instantly feel her presence it feels like home "where's her office" I ask Tracy still looking around at the house " top of the stairs, up the hall, first door on your left" he says as he gets comfortable in the living room den. I'm still taking in the house as I make my way to her office with her flowers.
