Fed up with their strong-headed, rebellious son, the King and Queen of the Kingdom of Terrigal come up with a plan for him to settle down by sending invitations to all the eligible young women of the land, to contest for his love, much to the Prince...
Walking down the path with two guards a few feet behind, Alex came to a wooded area where he saw two smaller greenhouses set a few meters apart from one another in their midst. Curious to see what sort of plants grew in there, he began walking towards it, hearing the guards footsteps hurrying behind him. Coming to the first greenhouse, he stopped outside of it because he could see that it was a nursery then he walked over to the next one.
Looking through the glass, he could see red and pink flowering plants in there that were in full bloom so he continued over to it to see what plants they were and before he could set foot in it, their beautiful fragrant told him what they were. Roses.
Stepping into the greenhouse, Alex saw that bright red Rosa Ingrid Bergman roses took up the front of the greenhouse with pink ones towards the back. He wasn't a big fan of flowers but even he couldn't deny the beauty of the famous flowers that were associated with love and romance. He walked straight forward to one of the rose that was in full bloom, growing out of a big flower pot and studied it with his eyes. How could a palm sized flower have so many layers, hold much beauty with a lovely smell to it. God truly is wonderful, but at the sound of something falling to the floor further instead had Alex snapping his eyes away from the beautiful flower.
Tilting his head to the side, Alex slowly walked around the the pots of Rosa Ingrid Bergman and looked down the aisle and saw nothing out of place, but he kept hearing someone shuffling around down the back, therefore he decided to check it out.
"Hello?" Alex called out, walking down to where the pink roses were and around a bush of pink modern shrub rose.

Looking up from collecting her basket of the freshly picked hot pink roses was the girl from the flower shop.
"You?!" She exclaimed in shock, mouth agape.
"Me." Alex replied absentmindedly. He was a little shocked at seeing her there too.
"What are you doing here?" The girl demanded, standing up straight after gathering her roses into the basket.
Alex looked around the greenhouses before he looked back at her. "The same thing as you. Collecting flowers, apparently."
"Your highness?!" One of the guards called out from the outside.
"It's alright Felix!" Alex replied.
"Your highness?...are they referring to you?" Alex watched the girl pondering over what was going on.
"Well..." Alex drawled out casually.
"Wait...you're Prince Alexander?" Her eyes widened after she put two-and-two together.
"Alex-" Alex began but she interrupted him.
"Oh my goodness." The girl said, gobsmacked. "You're the Prince?! Why would you let me speak so poorly in front of you?"
Alex shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I haven't been to town in the recent years, like you and many of the townsfolk said. So I don't really have anything to complain about. It's my fault."
"I'm sorry-"
"Please, don't apologise. I deserved it."
"...You actually do. No offence." The girl told him honestly.
Alex chuckled. He could tell that she was one of those people who didn't let others make her feel inferior without her concern and didn't like to lie, even if it meant hurting other people's feelings.
"None taken." He grinned and he saw her cheeks redden.
He knew very well that he had the looks but he never used them to get girls. He wasn't that type of guy.
The girl cleared her throat, feeling a little awkward. "So...your highness likes roses?"
"I beg your pardon?"
The girl looked around and gestured at the plants. "We're in a greenhouse full of roses?"
"Oh...no. I'm not a flowery type of guy." Alex shook his head.
"Okay. So you're here to get them for you girlfriend?"
"What makes you say that?" Alex inquired, interested in what she was going to say next.
The girl cocked her head to the side. "Men don't just walk into a flower shop or a greenhouse full of roses just for a stroll."
"How would you know?"
"My grandparents own a flower shop that I spent most of my summers in, so I picked up on a few things."
"That was your grandparents'shop?" Alex inquired about the flower shop that they first met in.
"Yes." The girl nodded then something caught her eyes behind him, outside the greenhouse. "Excuse me, your highness."
"Wait." Alex called, stopping her in her tracks, on her way over to the door.
"Yes?" She asked, a small frown appearing on her forehead as she cradled the basket of roses against her stomach.
"What is your name?"
"...Avery." The girl answered before she turned and continued walking to the door.
Avery. It situated her, Alex thought with a smile as he watched her walk away from the greenhouse to meet an elderly Caucasian woman up ahead before they walked away, out of his sight.
