Funfact: this was supposed to be a 5-10 chapter book about how Momo watched Mina dislike her gummy smile until Jihyo came. I actually finished the whole first draft, but I accidentally threw most of the paper I wrote on and only had this left with me.
"Do you like Mina?"
Jihyo blushed, almost choking at her at Momo's unusual straightforwardness, it's nearly like she's talking to Tzuyu right now.
It was such a surprise, really. s
She didn't know her admiration for Mina was that obvious. She had always thought it remained a secret till this day. But Momo obviously cracked it open. "I-I kinda do. Why?"
Momo sucked her breath for a second, voice subtly shakey when she lets it go. "O-oh..uh, nothing. I just..I just wondered if you do."
And as if all troubles flew away, Jihyo felt so light after that. She grinned at Momo. "Is that all? I think we should go back." She walked pass Momo and headed to the exit, but within few steps, Momo speaks again. Jihyo halts.
"You know..Mina avoids smiling because she finds her smile unpretty. She thinks, the way her gums show way too much when she smiles is weird. I actually watch her practice her smile everyday just to avoid smiling like she does."
Jihyo turned and faced Momo, quite surprised at the revelations.
Momo then continued. "When you came, she became comfortable wearing her smile. She doesn't hold it back. She doesn't hide it. Her smile appears on it's own, because you...you have the same gummy smile as Mina. And I think you made her a lot more comfortable than I could ever make her."
It's all what Momo's been thinking about, though it's merely an assumption, there's still a possibility that it's true. That Jihyo is the most comfortable person Mina has ever been with. Not Momo. After all, the truth has always been crystal clear when Momo looks at Mina's eyes.
And these days, whenever Mina is with Jihyo, the expressions that shows there are always lighter, comfortable in a sense. And a lovely smile always appear, a real and unforced one.
Mina's smile when she's with Jihyo isn't the same smile she practice infront of the mirror.
Because of Jihyo, Mina's smile has gotten genuine.
"...So Jihyo-ya, if ever you and Mina end up together," she bites her inner cheek, trying her hardest not to make her voice crack. "And just in case your relationship gets risky, bring her back to me. Don't just leave her there crying for you to come back."
Momo added, "But I know you fit each other so.."
Jihyo smiled at Momo, walked up to her and hugged her. They're friends after all. "Thank you."
If ever Mina ask Momo, What if we don't get reincarnated together at the same time and at the same world? What will happen to me then? again Momo thinks she knows what to answer now.
Jihyo will be there.
