"Are we sure she's not gonna do anything weird when she wakes up?"
Over in a hotel room currently being rented by the detective duo of Mia and Amelia, three women stand over Mia who was still out cold.
Enma, Ina, and Ame look over her as she stayed out from their earlier encounter with Ina. She had used her powers too much and was pretty much done for the whole day with no activity from her since they got back yesterday.
"I'm sure she'll be fine. She's not gonna attack Ina the first thing she sees... probably." Ame shrugged and her eyes came back to Mia as her eyes opened slightly. She found her wrist being held down by Enma as Ina crouched staring at her from the side of the bed.
"What... what are you doing...?" Mia asked as the entire situation was strange, her brain automatically assumed that if she wasn't dead, that meant ina was normal.
To find Enma suddenly on top of her holding her down was a sight she wasn't prepared for, and honestly, didn't want.
"Can you get off of my girl like that, Enma?" Amelia was making just as confused a face as Mia and the protector got off and stood to the side while Mia sat up in the bed.
"Ugh, my everything still hurts..."
"Honestly, I'd rather fight two wendigo's than fight Ina ever again."
"Sorry about that, it's nice to see you both again though. How have you been, we haven't talked since high school?"
A tentacle shot from a magic circle and grabbed a chair pulling it over and under Ina so she could sit. That right there is what they wanted answers to because they've never seen her do these things, it was a little scary, and the fact she had the creepy but sort of cute book out didn't help.
"Ina, since when could you do... this? That? Whatever you wanna call it..." Mia asked and Ame nodded in agreement.
"Forever, really? Though, when I was going to school, I didn't have out my powers like I do now. I hide them around humans."
She had said humans like she wasn't one, truly, what the hell is she now? It was spelled out in their faces that they weren't following what she was saying and hoped she could elaborate better than that because that was extremely lackluster for an explanation.
"Oh, I mean. I am a human but I'm a Priestess for the Ancient Ones, I was raised in a church when I was younger in life but you could probably call it more of a cult now. I'm practically the leader though I don't usually stay at our cathedral, the Bishop makes all the decisions and things like that, we're aiming for world domination!"
You know, for her to say world domination so cutely, I'm sure most people wouldn't take her seriously but there was a serious undertone to that and they knew she was serious in saying that. They were her friends but still, that was a little out there, they'd go with it purely because they knew her, after all, she didn't seem to be a bad leader anyway.
Though, if she had simply said she was a Priestess of the Ancient Ones in the first place, their upside-down brains probably would've gone with it and not questioned her at all. That title was something that explained a lot of things about Ina but they didn't bother asking more about that seeing as they probably wouldn't get any type of straight answer from her.
"So, you've been like this your whole life, huh? Also, did you say cathedral? Where the hell do you live, Ina?" Ame was just coming back to this part.
"Oh, for the most part, we live in an isolated forest in Asia... don't worry about the specifics, you should visit sometime, you'd love it!" Ina leaned back lazily and then realized they were in Britain, why was now a question, "Also, why are you guys here? Last thing I knew, you guys were setting up a detective agency in America, what's got you here?"
