It was him. The firefighter who saved my life.
"KATIE!!" He yelled and ran up to me. I stood there, shocked. Why would he come here? And why would he care for me, a girl he saved from a burning house risking his own life to save me. I don't get it. I'm nothing special. "Ridley! Shes over her!" He called. A girl who look like she could be in her mid to late 30 walked up with her stunning blue eyes and long, wavy light brown hair. She had on skinny jeans and a long black shirt that said "Love is a powerful word." She hooked arms with him and looked down at me.
"Oh James she's so cute! I love her!" She bent down and looked at me and held out her hand. "My name is Ridley Scott and you must be Katie Ann Crescent." I slowly took her hand and shook it. "Yes I am." I said in a shy and quite voice. James walked over and bent down next to her. "You may not remember me but I was the firefighter who saved you from the fire 4 years ago." He said. He looked at me and smiled like he actually care about me.
No one that I can remember "cared" for me unless I counted the nurses that watched me for 4 months then gave me up without a fight. "I remember, thank you very much by the way." I stood there trying to look older then I was. I am currently 7. He had the biggest smile on his face while looking at me, I kinda got creeped out but I guess he really did care. I stood there awkwardly while they looked at me, then James whisper something in Ridley's ear smiled and got a tear in her eye and shook her head up and down frantically.
They both looked at me with smiles then got up. "Katie, we've been thinking, and we were wondering if you want to come home with us." James said and looked down at me with caring eyes. "Like adopt me?!" I said and started to get a little to excited. "Yes." They both said in unison and looked at each other and laughed and smiled. "I... I don't know... I've never been apart of a family before..." They looked at me shocked
"Well we will show you!" Ridley perked up. "Alright!" I said with the biggest grin on my face. I'm going to get adopted!! I hug there wastes cause I'm still not tall enough to actually hug them. They huged me back and took me hand and walked up to the desk.
