Chapter 9: you came back

"How? B-but how did you-?" Neil asked.

"I don't know. I wanted to be with you."

"But... Oh, who cares?! Thank god you're back Liam."

He jumped to hug me.

I wrapped my arms around him.

He let go.

I did too.

I wanted to tell him i loved him, but i knew he met a girl.

He doesn't like boys in that way, like i do. Since i was back, he was happy again.

So he said, "I'm gonna go out with Maria."

He got his jacket and met her at a coffee house.

I watched from the window. they laughed and laughed during the date. Neil started to walk away, but she held onto his sleeve.

She told him something, and they kissed. they had been friends for months now, and since he was happy, she was too. Then they hugged.

Tears ran down my cheeks.

"I'll never get to do that..." i whispered.

Neil's POV

"Keeper, what's your real name?" Maria asked.

It was the end of the date, i didn't want to do this. I didn't want to cry.

I kissed her instead.

I hid my moist eyes with a hug.

"I gotta go, bye Maria." i said and pulled away.

"Taxi!" I got in a waved goodbye to maria.

I got out and handed the guy some cash.

I went inside and called for Liam.

"I'm home!" i looked around. "Liam?"

I went upstairs and heard crying.

"Liam?"

His head was on the ground with a bruise above his left eye with a small cut. dried blood crossed his forehead.

"Liam! What happened?"

"I slipped."

But his body wasn't in a position that he would have if he slipped. he was in a ball next to the wall.

"Okay... do you need help to get into bed?" I asked.

"N-yes actually. Please help." He fixed himself.

"Okay." I nodded.

I picked him up and put him under his covers. i put the comforter over his body.

His eyes closed and a smile came out on his face.

I left his room and went to mine.

"Screw The Clock... " i said aloud

I love Liam. Only if i could say it. but he doesnt like boys.
