Clockwork Keeper(complete)

Chapter 1: flight

Outside the window was a beautiful pink sunset. "wow, that is terrific."

I blinked twice and yawned. i stretched and fell asleep.

Three hours later...

"Sir? sir? sir you need to wake up!" the flight attendant was shaking my shoulder.

"Oh, im sorry. ill go now."

I got up, took my luggage and left.

"Hello america!"

When i walked out the door, the wind nipped at my nose. i put on a sweatshirt and pulled the hood over my head.

"Taxi! taxi!" I called.

The car pulled up in front of me. " Neil, get in."

My eyes widened. "only one person knows my name..."

"Neil, come on. its me, Liam?" He reminded me.

At that point, i had turned away, i looked back at him.

"Is that really you, Liam?" I reached for the door handle.

"Come on, IKA needs you. you are the president of it."

I opened the door and sat on the leather. "okay, lets go."

I closed the door quickly and put my seatbelt on.

Liam hesitated.

I looked at him. "Drive!"

He flashed me an apologetic smirk.

He changed gears and drove to the IKA headquarters.

Let me explain about earlier, when i said only one person knew my real name, i meant it.

~flashback~
  "Neil, go meet some friends! you need people." The woman told me.

"Mom! dont call me that!"

"Its your name, honey."

"It's KEEPER!!!" I yelled at her.

"Go to school!" she slapped me in the face.
*grunt*
"mommy, why'd you do that?!"

Her hands covered her mouth. tears ran down her cheeks.

I ran out the door and left her behind.

"NEIL!!!!" She screamed after me.
"No!!!! not my baby!!!"
*gunshot*

"Mom?!" i ran back to the house.

She had shot herself. she was laying in a pool of her own blood.

I was only twelve.

A FEW HOURS LATER....

I had walked into the city. i ran into a boy who lived on the streets.

He was twelve too. "Liam, wheres your family?" i said through the tears.

"Ive forgotten about them, ive moved on." He held his head.

"Except one." he said.

He looked at me with tears at his eyes.

"My sister, Lucy, who was fourteen. i was in love with her. my own sister." he began.

My eyes widened. "you must've been very close."

"We were. but she became depressed and she lost her friends." Liam paused.

"Why?" i asked.

"Lucy lost her friends because she was flirting with her best friend's boyfriend. he broke up with his girlfriend to be with Lucy. Then when Elisa, Lucy's best friend found out why her boyfriend broke up with her, she beat up Lucy and told everyone." he paused again.

"Oh... then Lucy became depressed and..." i concluded.

"Killed herself." he finished, trying to keep his cool.

"Liam?

"Yeah?"

"Don't tell anyone my real name."

"Okay."
