"We should probably go see a doctor." Majest said.

"No." i crossed my arms.

Suddenly, i remembered a friend from my past named Averti (aver-tie).

"Averti.... i miss her..." i said aloud.

"Who's that?" Liam asked.

"Averti? Oh. not long after i met you, when you moved away for a year, i met Averti. I was thirteen and it was young love."

~flashback~

"Are you all right?" A girl asked me.

I was sitting on a wall crying because my best friend just left.

"Yeah..." i said, wanting to be alone.

"My name's Averti. Whats yours?" She sat down next to me.

"My name is Ne- i mean Keeper." i stopped myself.

"What is it? Please tell me." She pleaded with her eyes.

"Its... its..." i couldn't say it.

I hung my head and was happy that my hair hid my face. "its... Neil..."

"I like that name." then she hugged me.

I felt a connection, so i hugged back.

A couple weeks later, i turned fourteen(i had been with Liam for a year by then).

Averti went with me to visit my mother's grave. on the way back to the city, we stopped to watch the sunset and i kissed her.

It was a magical and compassionate moment.

The sky was a bluish purplish color and the moon was full with billions of twinkling stars.

We spent a happy year together until we were separated.

We were separated by a train. i helped her on first in to an empty car. the train sped up to fast and i couldn't run that fast. i was so close.

But i failed.

It seemed that Averti and i were not meant to be at that moment.

I was going to ask her to marry me when we were sixteen, for pete's sake!

I regret not getting on with her, not after her.
