Truly Blessed

When we were finally done speaking by Ameer's parents, Tahir left first and Ameer and myself left minutes later. We went to the park and it was relaxing actually, alhamdulilah. Ameerah was asleep and myself and Ameer just kept talking and talking. I am just glad Allah gave me a second choice in marriage and I'm a family. When it was getting late and chillies we went back home. Ameer took the first shower while I tried washing Ameerah but she just kept crying so I wrapped her in the towel and waited for Ameer to finish in the bathroom, when he eventually decided to come out he looked shocked.

"I thought you washed her?" He said. "Yes I was going to but she wants her daddy to wash her." I said handing his daughter to him, kissed his cheek and then went downstairs to make supper.

I actually wanted to order in but Ameer said he wants me to make food, I wonder why? Anyway I did as I was told when the doorbell rang. I left what I was making and went to the door.

"Doctor Achmat?" I said. "Asalaamu Alaykum." She said. "Wa Alaykum Salaam doctor." I said. "Come inside." I said. "Shukran." She said entering the house. "What brings you here?" I asked. "Wife who is at the door?" Ameer shouted from upstairs but I could hear him coming down, he looked shock when he saw the doctor why?

"Laylah what are you doing here?" He said.

So this is the infamous Laylah that Ameer was supposed to marry. I always wondered what happened to her.

"So it's true, you really did get married and leave me all alone. You one sick person you know that Ameer!" She said. "Laylah I told you already, the day I met you, I will never love you, I will never be yours so don't come here and except me to crawl back to you because that will never happen." Ameer said. "But you said you loved me, you were so nice to me." She said. "That was all a pretend Laylah I did it because I had to and I never said I loved you. So I need you to leave." He said. "Ameer." I warned. "Doctor Achmat I am really sorry about Ameer's behaviour he had a long day." I said and she looked at me. "I am sorry I came here unannounced." She said and she left.

"You really didn't need to be rude to her Ameer. She came here for answers." I said. "Aisha what did I do wrong now again?" He asked exaggerating the word again. "She came here for answers Ameer and you were so rude to her, couldn't you have spoken to get in a nicer manner? I mean she didn't come her to fight and you did leave her like she was a dirty rag." I said. "I am sorry okay?!" He said. "I am not the one you should be apologising to." I said and went back to the kitchen.

This girl sees the good in everylast human being on this planet. SubhanAllah, I am truly blessed to have married a young beautiful and considerate wife. Alhamdililah. I walked out the house and  saw Laylah walk to her car.

"Laylah?" I said and she turned around.

Tears were running down her face so she wiped it

"I am apologising for the way I acted in there, I just wasn't expecting you to come. I am apologising for alot of things I did to you, like embarrass you infront of your family, leave you like a rag, I am really apologetic." I said. "Its fine Ameer. " she said. "No it's not and we both know it's not. Look Laylah I understand and know it was wrong of me for what I did to you but you don't deserve me, I can never love you the way you want me to love yoj,  as much as it hurts me to hurt you I can't literally fake my whole life to love you when I know I will never love you." I said. "I know Ameer so this is goodbye then?" She asked. "I guess." I said. "Asalaamu Alaykum Ameer."She said turning and left. "You will find someone who will love you enough." I said watching her car drive disappear.
