chapter 14

(PLEASE READ: hey guys!, Once again I am really bad at keeping up with updates as you can tell but I'm back at here's the new chapter.)

(Just one thing before you to start I have decided to change Jennettes features because I just wasn't really feeling the white hair a blue jewel eyes anymore.)

(I have changed her features to light blond hair, her hair is a very lifter blond then athys and I have changed her eyes to
yellow/golden jewelled eyes. if you go back to the last chapters you'll see that I have changed them. I hope you guys don't mind)

(Anyway onto the chapter)

It was just as the gates opened and carriage'es marched through, Jennette stood at the front of the large doors of what she calls home with a smile upon her face. It was a very windy day, the fresh breeze tussled through her low pony tail and brought a lovely cool feeling to her face.

Jennette placed her hands just Infront of herself and rested them on her dress as she look over at the twin carriges, excitement bubbled in her chest as she nibbled at her lower lip.

Ace stood next to her although he was a few cemtimeters behind. His face held a nuteral expression to it as he stared at the carriages, soon enough he got bored and turned his attention towards Jennettes hair. He began to absent mindedly fiddle with her golden curls out of habit. As they grew up ace had developed this strange yet enduring habit of his, and Jennette eventually got used to it.

Jennette brought her hands up to her mouth as the first person exited the carriage. Her hands covered her ever-growing smile, and eyes sparkled with happiness.

Then finally Out stepped Elijah, his dark raven hair began to blow around in the wind  as he brought his hand up to run is though the strands of thick hair, ultimately pulling it out of his face if only for a few seconds.

He turn and made eye contact with Jennette and his lips turned up to smile, after Fourteen years they finally met again.

Despite Jennettes bubbly excitement she stood patiently next to ace, smile never vanishing. Soon enough Elijah came to a stop Infront of Jennette and bowed, Jennette doing the same.

Gently taking her hand he placed a kissed atop of it and released. She let her hand drop to her side before reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck and pulled him in for a hug as she stood on her tippy toes. A small giggle escaped her mouth.

"It's been so long" she laughed as she released him from her hold, looking up at him Jennette tucked some loose strands of hair behind her ear.

"It Has indeed, princess" Elijah replied "but now that I have finished my studies, you can bet that I'll be here from now on".

Jennette clapped her hands together happily "wonderful". "I hear that you graduated top of your class. Not bad" aces voice said from behind them.

Elijah and Jennette turn to him, ace had one hand on his hip and the other hung to his side. Elijah hummed in acknowledgement as he turned to ace "word travels quite fast" he said amusingly.

"Definitely" ace responded "especially when you have a group of fan girls who track your every move". Elijah rolled his eyes in response and turned back to Jennette.

"I look forward to seeing more of you princess, Afterall I am to be your personal knight from today onwards" Elijah said smiling proudly. Jennette hummed "I do hope you are just as excited as I am" she giggled to herself.

"However" she said suddenly "is there to be no ceremony for this?" Jennette asked, confusion lased in her voice. "No there surprisingly will be no accolades with any royals from here on out" Elijah says, "instead it will be the preist that will now do those types of ceremonies".

"Oh I see" she responded. "Well then" ace said "looks like you'll be joining us on our trip to the obelian royal palace" he continued. Jennette turned to look at him in suprise, causing ace to let out a amused huff before turning back to Elijah "look don't get it wrong" he began "you may now be her personal knight, and dosnt matter if you have sent each other letters back and forth" he said "but it's gonna take a while for me to let you be alone with that princess for that long".

Elijah raised an eyebrow as Jennette began to sweat nervously and raised her hands up as if to try and stop the tension that had just been caused.

"How about we go and prepare for some tea, I sure we have a lot of catching up to do" Jennette said with a smile though her expression was still unsure as the two taller boy continued to stare at each other as if having a telepathic conversation.

They eventually broke eyeconact and turn back to Jennette, "that sounds like a good idea princess". Jennette let out a released sigh " brilliant" she responded she turn and was the first to start walking to the outside tea spot. Elijah follows after her and ace behind him.

"Well be leaving tomorrow" Jennette Said as she took a sip of her tea, gold jewelled eyes stared down at her cup before looking up at them.

"Hmm" Elijah hummed as he dumped another sugar cube into his tea cup a took a sip. Elijah as Jennette learned had a sweet tooth. "Is it not strange that obelians princess has even contacted you. After all
Obelian and Alynthi lost contact with each other after their share of disagreements." Ace said.

"However for the sake of speaking of their relationship. dating back to your ancestors the royal families of obelian and Alynthi are very distantly related. Which would explain the differences in jewelled eyes" ace took a sip of his own tea as he leaned back in his chair.

Jennette frowed her brows in confusion "if you don't mind me asking, what causes the difference in the colour of our eyes?" She asked.

Ace put his tea cup down and looked at Jennette "you see, obelians eyes are blue jewelled Due to the purity of their mana however whilst Alynthi does not have pure mana they instead have pure soul essence, as soul essence is the thing that keeps us alive, and without it flowing through us we would be no longer" he said.

"And because of the royal Alynthi family's pure soul essence it causes them to live the longest of lives and be able to tap into spiritual realms, as well be guided by the esteemed spirits of the heavens".

ace continued on " so to put it more simply the royal family of Alynthi has the souls close to that of a deity, where as obelian has mana so pure that they are connected to the world tree and all things mana related"

Jennette nodded, it was definitely ALOT of information to process.

Elijah sighed "I'm sure all will be fine, it would be a good idea to perhaps forge some good relations with obelian after all" he said.

As Jennette sat there sipping her tea she could faintly hear ace and Elijah talking as she zoned out. 'this is all a bit strange, it was a rather big shock that princess Athanasia had contacted me however. Im more worried for how things will be once I arrive there' Jennette thought as she twirled her golden ringlets around her finger.

'I wonder how things are with uncle and ijekeal in the mansion...' Jennette placed her tea cup onto the table and sighed as she stood.

Jennette turned her golden jewelled eyes to the two boy who had already turned their attention towards the her as she bowed "please be sure to have your things prepared for tomorrow. We will be leaving at  11:30 in the morning. As around this time in obelian there is normally festivals going on" Jennette said.

"I'm very sure we will be staying for the week as it tends to go on for that amount of time". Elijah and ace nodes in agreement as they stood a bowed whilst Jennette followed right after with a curtsy, before turning around a walking off this her maids.

'I do hope that all is well for them'
