Little Blue Riding Hood (Horrorberry)

Protective

Horror started sleeping next to me at night and cuddling during the day. We took walks and did almost everything that couples did. He was very protective, and for good reason. He told me of his brother, of his fears of losing me. I reassured him that that wouldn't happen, but he was still overprotective nonetheless. I honestly didn't completely mind. It kept Undyne far away from me. I've never feared the scientist before, but wolf Undyne had definitely made me afraid. It would take awhile to let my guard down around her when I got home.. A deep kiss quickly pulled me out of my thoughts of home, his hand slipping into mine. "ya were slipping again, so i decided to pull you back up." Horror nuzzled into my upper ribs, sending shivers down my spine. "H-Horror.." I breathed out his name, stuttering at the contact as I did so. Horror chuckled deeply. "i love you, blueberry. i hate seeing you sad." I smiled lightly. "I know.. I love you too, my Cuddly Protector!" I hugged onto him and he cuddled into me. This is a great start to any day.

After lunch we went out to stretch our legs. I grabbed his hand, intertwining our phalanges together. His smile widened as he looked down adoringly at me. It was one of those rare moments where I saw he was truly at peace. It was very difficult to see sometimes, since he was always alert and on edge, but now he was calm, with his sockets in a half lidded state. I leaned into his arm and he rumbled happily. I closed my sockets, letting him guide us. The birds sang, the flowers bloomed, on days like these-

SNAP

Horror took a protective stance in front of me, shielding me from the possible danger before us. A small, yellow scaled wolf thing stepped out, making Horror tense. She didn't seem to have eyes as she sniffed around. She froze suddenly, head snapping towards Horror as she whimpered. A more familiar blue scaled wolf joined us. Horror glowered at the two, but made no move to harm them, though I could tell he wanted to. They made no move to harm him, though Undyne was daring him to with her eye. I tugged on Horror's jacket and his gaze flicked from them to me. "Let's head back, I'm ready for a nap and snuggles." Alphys head perked in fearful interest while Undyne regarded me with quiet curiosity. "fine, ok." I lead him away from them.

Back at the den, I scored more Horror snuggles as I tried to actually nap. It didn't come to me as easily as it came to Papyrus though, which was my downfall. Horror had a cure for that though. Humming. They were just small little tunes, but they were deep and melodic and just the way to put me to sleep when I couldn't. He hummed a small lullaby as he shifted me to lay on his chest. Between his calmly beating soul, the hum, and the vibrations from said hum, I was lulled into gentle sleep.

He was gone when I woke up, likely hunting for our dinner. I already missed his presence, but I knew he'd be back. I waited quietly, trying to keep my thoughts away from home so I wouldn't be sad when he got back. It was hard, but I succeeded as he came back with groundhog. "evening, baby, gotcha a delicacy." He winked and I rolled my starry eyelights, giving him a kiss on the cheekbone. He responded with a kiss on the teeth with resulted in a small makeout session, the dinner temporarily forgotten.
