I suppose.. I should remove the spear and clean the wound.. Stars I hope he wasn't going to hurt me. I shifted positions and took a weary step towards the wounded animal. He responded with a nasty snarl, his eye dilated with either fear or hunger. I couldn't tell. I wanted to run, to hide, and leave him alone, but I couldn't leave him like this.. he'd die. Instead, I held my hands up to show I had nothing on me to harm him with. I took another cautious step forward. He tensed and growled again. It didn't feel as threatening as the last. "IT'S OK, I'M HERE TO HELP." He stopped growling all together. Did he understand me? His head sunk to the ground with a pained groan. I took it as a go ahead and rushed to his side. I.. was going to have to pull it back out. I grabbed the shaft of the spear and yanked. NOT a good idea. While I did get the spear out, he roared in rage, easily pinning me and eager to make a meal out of me. "I-I'M SORRY.. I-I SHOULD HAVE WARNED YOU.." I tried to sound calm, but I was afraid.

He glowered at me with his single, red eyelight. What served as his blood was leaking down from the wound, dripping from his socket onto me. I had to stop the bleeding. I dared to move again, tugging off my trusty bandana and covering the hole while he judged me. He blinked slowly and stared up, as if just realizing my actions towards him. It was a little hard to tie around his chin, my arms barely reached, he had my chest pinned, and he was taller than me, but I managed. He was looking down at me again. "A LITTLE BETTER?" I asked feebly over his deadly stare. He stepped of and sat down, tilting his head in extreme curiosity. I shot up and checked for any injuries of my own. "NOW YOU TAKE CARE OF MY BANDANA, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT TO ME." I told him with as much confidence as I could muster. Looking at him again, his gaze was once more on the reddening blue fabric of my bandana. I noticed there was still blood in his eye. Taking up my sleeve, I wiped it away, his attention was once again drawn to me. He blinked again and pressed himself into my hoodie. I guess he was saying thanks. "YOU'RE WELCOME.."

I tried to look for a way home, the wolf was following. I didn't mind now. I could use the company. "YOU WOULDN'T HAPPEN TO KNOW THE WAY OUT OF HERE, WOULD YOU?" I asked. He stopped. I stopped. "WOLF? ARE YOU GOING HOME NOW?" I asked. He rumbled, turned and dashed off. "I'LL.. TAKE THAT AS A YES." Well, I guess I'm alone. I continued walking in a random direction. "WOAH!" I scrambled over between the trees and to a Cliffside edge. Dark clouds were rolling in, painted in a dark orange, pink, and blue. It was nice, but the clouds were a bad sign. Heavy rains were coming, and I had nothing but this hoodie and my pants to protect me from it. I turned to find some shelter... then I slipped on the loose gravel... gravity did the rest. Down, down, down I fell, my body colliding with rocks and trees along the way. It hurt like hell.

❣❣❣

Somehow, I didn't break anything or hurt my head. I was bleeding in alot of places though, and to make matters worse, it started to rain. I pulled my hood up and struggled to stand. With a hiss of pain, I started for shelter. The rain got worse. "Dizzy.." I leaned against a tree. The rain was stopping my blood from clotting, I was losing alot of it. My back slid down the rough bark. Lightning flashed revealing a large animalistic frame and glowing red eye. It was staring at me, glowing in the dark, rain soaked night. He approached me slowly. "Wolf..." I murmured tiredly. His jaw parted and a red tongue manifested. He licked at my wounds, gentle, for such a large and dangerous creature. It was actually lulling me to sleep. "Th-thank you.." My eyes closed and I fell forward, into something fluffy. Something held onto my back. Last thing I felt as I drifted off, was something picking me up and walking off with me.
