Busy

Y/n's POV:

I am currently waiting in the living room for Alycia, my girlfriend of five years to get home since it's getting pretty late.

Lately, she always got home late and leave the house early. I'm happy that her acting career took off but I'm starting to hate it since we barely saw each other now even if we live in the same house.

After a few hours of waiting, I received a text saying she's not coming home today because she have an early shoot tomorrow.

To say I was angry was an understatement.

She couldn't text me earlier so I wouldn't worry too much?!

I throw my phone at the wall and decided to go to bed.

Alycia's POV:

I am so exhausted. We were running behind schedule on filming because I had to squeezed two projects at the same time. I mean I'm happy I got a lot of projects, but it's taking a toll on my body and my relationship. I know I'm being a shitty girlfriend right now and I wouldn't blame Y/n if she wanted to break up with me but I hope she doesn't because I love her so much.

"Alycia, We need to fly to Texas tomorrow. We need to shoot some scenes there, I know it's last minute but we found the best location there, it's only gonna take a week since we need to film as much as we can."Our director said then left without waiting for my reply.

Fuck how am I gonna tell Y/n now?!

I decided to sleep here in my trailer for now and just go home early tomorrow so I can talk to Y/n.

After sending her a text, it didn't take a minute for me to fall asleep.

Y/n's POV:

I woke up really early today so I can go to work, I don't wanna stay longer at home since it's only making me upset and lonely.

I buried myself at work so I can forget about my failing relationship.

After a while, my broken phone started ringing so I answered it without looking because I'm still busy signing some papers.

Being a CEO of your own company is really tiring.

"Hello babe? where are you?" I heard. It's Alycia.

"I'm at work." I said shortly.

"This early? I'm home, I need to talk to you." she said. I can detect nervousness in her voice.

"What is it?" I asked focusing on the phone. Fuck is she gonna break up with me? did she found someone new?

"I uh I'm going to Texas for a week for filming. They just told me last night." She said quietly.

I remained silent for a few minutes until she cleared her throat, asking if I'm still there.

"When are you leaving?" I asked trying to hide the sadness in my voice.

It's still better news than her breaking up with me. I'm upset with her but I do love her so much.

"Today. I need to be at the airport in an hour. I'm sorry, I know I've been so busy but I'll make it up to you I promise." She said.

I sighed and rubbed my temple. I didn't even get to see her before she leaves.

"That's fine, Have a safe trip and call me if you need anything. I need to finish some things, bye." I said. I waited for her to say goodbye before I hang up the phone.

Alycia's POV:

I know Y/n is upset by the way she quickly ended our conversation but I really can't do anything about it as much as I want to see her before I leave.
