Riley excitedly ran down the stairs.
"all right. Goodbye." Riley's dad hung up the phone and Riley stood in the doorway
"well, guess what? The moving van won't be here until Thursday." Bill said
"you're kidding." Jill said
"Mmm-hmm."
Riley stared at her parents in disbelief.
"the van is lost? This is the worse day ever!" Fear asked
"that figures. The van is lost." Disgust complained
Joy looked over at all the new green, purple and red memories before looking back at the screen.
"you said it would be here yesterday!" Jill exclaimed
"I know that's what I said. That's what they told me!" Riley's dad put the broom to the side before standing across from Riley's mum.
"mom and dad are stressed out!" Fear said worriedly
"They're stressed out?" Anger asked sarcastically
"what are we going to do?" Fear asked
Joy ran over and grabbed a lightbulb before coming back over "I've got a great idea!" She put the lightbulb in and Riley smiled.
"did you even read the contract?" Jill asked
Riley grabbed a paper ball and put it on the floor "Andersen makes her move. She's closing in!" Riley uses her hockey stick to move the paper side to side.
Riley's dad noticed her and grabbed the broom charging towards her "hey!" He let out a laugh "oh, no. You're not!"
"she's lining up for the shot!" She pushed the ball through her dads legs running around him and hitting it into the fireplace
"watch out! Watch out!" Bill said
"she shoots and she scores'"Riley cheered
Riley jumped up in celebration.
Joy and all the others cheered she looked back to see family island running.
"come on, Grandma!" Riley taunted her mum
"ha! Grandma?" Riley's mum put her hair up and smirked at Riley
"uh-oh, she put her hair up. We're in for it!" Joy said
Jill held a pillow blocking the fireplace so Riley couldn't score Riley's dad picked up Riley's mum by the legs putting her over his shoulder
"hey, put me down!" Jill said laughing
Bill laughed and just as Riley was about to shoot the ball into the fireplace her dad picked her up pulling her into a hug.
The bell dinged and a yellow memory lined up against the other memories Riley and her mum and dad shared a laugh until a phone ringing interrupted them
"ah! Sorry. Hold on. Hold on." Bill said as he put Riley and her mum down answering the phone and walking out
"hello?" He asked
"wait. Wha..." Joy began
"you're kidding."
Riley's smile slowly dropped and her dad sighed
"All right. Stall for me. I'll be right there. The investor's supposed to show up on Thursday. Not today!" He said
Joy let out a sigh
"I got to go."
"it's okay. We get it." Rileys mum said
"you're the best. Thanks, hon." Bill gave Riley's mum a kiss before holding up the phone to his ear before turning to Riley "see you, sweetie."
He walked out the house and Riley stood there looking at where he left.
