when you fall asleep your brain runs miles

sprinting along the winds, you find yourself stopping amongst the clouds

you ask yourself, "why am i running?"

rather than asking yourself what am i running from?

is it the constant pain of knowing you're not enough?

or the want to cry when there are no tears left to fall.

or maybe its the longing of wanting to find that special someone

to dance with at 3 am on a rainy sunday night in the middle of the woods under the moonlight,

falling next to each other onto the soft blades of grass wisping in the winds,

until they look at you like you are the only person in the world.

these thoughts unconciously race through your mind while you stop and stare into the nothingness.

only to remember you have nowhere to go so you keep running

because how bad could it be to run until your legs just stop?

after all, its not like you'll remember it in the morning anyway.
