You woke up the next day extremely grateful that you didn't have to work today. If Taehyung came looking for you again today, he would be disappointed. You hoped he would just stop trying. Being the nice guy, he was he probably just wanted to make you feel better. To not feel like an idiot. But you didn't want to hear it or be pitied. There was nothing you hated more.

The day off went nicely, Hye had to work until late in the afternoon, so you avoided his concerned gaze. You spent time reading, playing video games, cleaning and then started cooking dinner. You wanted to appear normal for Hye, so you made him his favorite dish. You prepared the Kimchi Fried Rice and were thankful that he was such a simple man.

Hye arrived home and instantly commented on the smell that hit him as he walked in. "Is that Kimchi Rice?!" He definitely sounded excited. "Yes, it is!" You greeted him, poking your head out of the kitchen. You both sat down for dinner shortly after. He gobbled it all up and even went back for seconds. It made you happy that he enjoyed it so much. You really picked up a knack for cooking while living with your brother. He surely couldn't cook, so it rested on your shoulders. You didn't mind honestly.

Hye finished cleaning up your mess and you wished him a goodnight. You wanted to get into bed early, you hadn't had a good, nice sleep for a while. You flopped down into your bed and looked at your ceiling. "Please don't let him visit tomorrow," you whispered to yourself. You just hoped he would forget you and move on. You'd just try to make other friends. Maybe that quiet girl, maybe you'll ask her name finally tomorrow.

You were startled awake by your blaring alarm. You turned it off and put your pillow over your head. Another night of tossing and turning. You finally got up and took a shower hoping it would wake you up. It didn't really. You picked out some skinny jeans, red converse, and a purple fuzzy sweater. It was going to be chilly today, so you wanted something warm.

Parking behind the bookstore as usual, you went inside. Mr. Jung greeted you as warmly as ever and you performed your daily routine. Organizing and cleaning. This place always needed attention, despite the lack of traffic it gets sometimes. You were straightening up the shelves when you heard the front door ding. Your heart sped up, anxious that it was Taehyung. You peeked around the bookcase and saw it wasn't him. It was a tall, blonde-haired guy.

"Hello! Let me know if you need help finding anything!" You had popped your head out and waved at the man and gave him a warm smile

"Hello! Let me know if you need help finding anything!" You had popped your head out and waved at the man and gave him a warm smile. He gave you a smile back and you noticed he had cute dimples. He walked towards the back where you were. You watched him curiously. He was so handsome. He was wearing a simple hoodie, jeans, and red converse. You smiled at his shoe choice.

Deciding to speak up, "hey, nice shoes," you said to him and pointed your foot out to him. He turned around to look at you and then looked down to your shoes. "Oh nice! We match!" He gave you a broad smile and you just stared at it. He had the most perfect smile you'd ever seen. "Yeah! Are you looking for anything in particular?" You wanted to keep talking to him, something about him was drawing you in. He looked around, turning around and his elbow knocked down a magazine stand. "Aish." He called out and bent down to pick up the mess. You rushed over and helped him pick up the magazines. "I'm sorry," he mumbled, and you shook your head. "It's okay, they're only paper." You offered him a smile.

"I'm looking for 'The Midnight Library,' do you have it here?" You thought for a second and remembered seeing in somewhere. "Yes, we do! I love that book." You motioned for him to follow you and he tagged along closely as you shuffled through the bookcase. You pulled out a copy and placed it in his upright turned hands. "Thanks," he gave you that bright smile and you couldn't help but shoot him one in return. "You're welcome, that's a great choice, that book is amazing," you shared, and he looked at you intently. "You liked it?" You nodded happily.

"It actually helped me a lot. You'll see. It's about a woman who goes searching for the meaning of life. Regret only holds us back, hinders us." You realized you were talking too much, and he was just staring at you. "I've heard it was good, I'm glad to hear another positive review," he smiled again, those dimples showing back up.

You walked up him to the counter so he could check out. "I'm glad my friend told me about this place, I'll definitely come back." You gave him the warmest smile you could muster. 'Please come back.' You said in your head. He was gorgeous.

He paid for the book and denied the bag you offered him. "I'm going to read it now!" He seemed genuinely excited, and you found that adorable. "Thanks, have a great day, and come again!" You yelled after him as he walked out. You truly hoped he would come back.
