JUST AS AIDEN told her, River's stylist had arrived in an hour later to get her ready. The woman seemed to be around her age and happened to be very friendly. River made small talk with her as she patiently waited for the woman to start. The young woman said that her name was Taylor Ombre, and she'd been a stylist for a few years now. Upon taking note of her appearance and name, River joked about the last name and the fact that she had red ombre hair. The corny joke emits a chuckle from the blonde on the couch. And a laugh from the stylist, who makes a point to lean forward and lightly brush her hand down River's arm. The sudden action causes goosebumps to appear on her skin, making her shiver. Unbeknownst to either of them, Taylor smirked at the reaction she got as she left the area to retrieve her things.

"So, Ms. Gomez, how would you like your face to look tonight?" Taylor asks, setting up the space in front of the vanity mirror for her makeup kit.

"River is fine," she politely corrects as she sits in the comfortable styling chair. Taking note of the request, Taylor excuses herself to get River ready for her performance quickly. Luckily for the stylist, River's outfit was already arranged and prepared. "I don't have a particular look I want, but light makeup would do," River politely requests once Taylor comes back.

Since she was facing toward the mirror, River could see Sabrina in the corner, still on the couch. She takes this time to gaze at her through the reflection of the glass mirror. River didn't have a legitimate reason for it. She just found herself constantly doing it whenever Sabrina was in her proximity. River couldn't help but get captivated by such beauty.

Feeling a pair of eyes on her, Sabrina looks up from her phone to find the eyes in question are River's staring at her through the glass. "You're staring," Sabrina deadpans, a hint of a smirk on her lips.

A smile reaches River's face. Her cheeks were hot due to being caught red-handed. "No, I'm not."

"Okay, weirdo," Sabrina says, going back to her phone, her smile matching River's.

River was about to say something else until she was interrupted by a voice, "Everything's set, River!" Taylor exclaims excitedly as she practically skips over to River's chair. Looking down at her for confirmation, she asks. "Ready?" Giving the stylist a nod, Taylor goes to work.

As time went on, Taylor began to get more handsy than one should when doing someone's makeup. Tiny brushes of the hand on River's shoulder. There were a few flirty comments here and there as they made conversation, but other than that, it was tolerable, and River paid it no mind. Sabrina, however, wanted nothing more but to show her that River was hers. Only to remember that they still aren't officially together. And not wanting to cause a scene, she sat there with clenched teeth.

"So, River, if you don't mind me asking," Taylor began, "are you dating anyone?" She asked, innocence laced in her voice as she gestured for River to close her eyes so she could apply the setting spray on her face. After using, she fans River's face for a few seconds before stopping to dry it quicker.

River doesn't answer for a bit, the question taking her aback. The pregnant pause causes Sabrina to look up from her phone and into River's reflection of the glass. She could see the hesitancy on her face. And although she understood why given their situation, Sabrina couldn't help but feel a slight hurt.

Thinking that she overstepped, Taylor hesitates. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend you if I did. I was just wondering because I think you're beautiful and was hoping I could take you out," she clarifies.

"No, no," she assures, giving the girl a polite smile in hopes of calming her a bit. "You haven't offended me, and I'm flattered, honestly..." She trails off, trying her best to find the right words so she can let her down easy.

"No, I'm not seeing anyone at the moment. But, someone has caught my attention. I'm sorry." River gives her a sympathetic smile. Before they could drown in awkward silence, there's a quick knock on the door. Before anyone could give any confirmation of entry, it's opened; not even a second later, and someone's head peaks inside.

Aiden's body is only halfway in the room as he searches for the pair of eyes he needs. "River, you're on in about thirty minutes." If he noticed the uneasy atmosphere, Aiden didn't bother to make any acknowledgment of it.

"Okay, great. Thank you," said River before turning to finish getting ready. As River walks toward the back, she signals Sabrina to follow as she walks past. Giving her a nod, Aiden turns his attention to Taylor, whose face flushed in embarrassment. "You're needed in the east wing."

She nods and begins moving frantically around the room to gather her belongings. Once she has everything, Aiden offers his assistance to carry something. Taylor shakes her head no and begins to walk out the door. Before he leaves, Aiden yells to River that he'll be back in about twenty minutes to get her.
