On the Hunt

Days Later

I swung through the city before hearing screams and my Spidey Senses went off. I looked around before I flipped through the air and narrowly dodged a spear. "Yowza!" I exclaimed with wide eyes before landing on the wall of a skyscraper. I looked at the spear beside me before hearing a feral scream. I looked up as my senses went nuts. I flipped upward in time to watch a man in an open-chest fur coat of a lion land on the wall below me. He hung from dual daggers that had been imbedded into the wall.

"Hello...Spider." He said with a thick Russian accent. "Uh...hi?" I voiced. "Goodbye." He stated before pulling out one of the daggers and swiping at me. I dodged out of the way. "Uh...do I know you?" I asked. "No...but you will die by my hand." He answered. "Oh. Wonderful." I whispered flipping into the roof of a building and watching the man join me at the top wielding a spear.

"I...am Kraven the Hunter. And you...are my newest hunt, Spider-Man." He explained. "Hunt? I gotta tell you, bud. You'll find that I'm a lot harder to catch than your typical animal." I said lowering myself to the ground. "I do not intend to catch you, Spider. I intend to kill you." He said. "Not the first person to say that to me." I told him before he pounced at me. I dodged his attack before slamming my fist into his face. The punch staggered him before sending him crumpling to the ground. He got to his feet and smirked. "So...you are as strong as they say you are. Good." Kraven stated spitting out blood. "Who exactly is they?" I asked. "People who hate you." He answered. "You're gonna have to be more specific. There is a lot and I mean, a lot, of people who hate me." I pointed out dodging a knife attack to my throat.

I performed a backhand spring and shot a web at his legs and knocked him down. He growled in frustration cutting his legs free of the webs and getting to his feet. He glared at me before throwing the knife at me. I jumped and flipped mid-air evading the thrown object before landing on my feet. "What?" I asked confused. I stood up and looked around searching for the missing Kraven. He had disappeared...vanished into thin air. "Where did he go?" I whispered.
