"I know exactly who I want to dance with." Meg stated as Jo curled her hair. Clara had no idea why Jo was the one chosen to manage Megs hair she knew even Beth could do it better than her.

"Who will you dance with Jo?" Beth questioned looking up from her hands.

"You know I never dance." Jo huffed carefully wrapping up megs hair.

Clara began to comb the ringlets in her hair brushing through each curl 5 times to ensure no knots. Clara wasn't going to the ball but she liked to feel pretty.

"Why can't we all go to the party." Amy protested. "It's not fair."

"Clara?" Meg questioned "What shoes should i wear." Clara was picky, a habit she had picked up from her Aunt march.

"𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑦𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑚𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑣𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡?" 𝐴𝑢𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑐ℎ 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑠 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑡 𝑑𝑜𝑤𝑛 ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑎 𝑔𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑠 𝑡𝑒𝑎 𝑐𝑢𝑝.

"I prefer the shoes on the right." Clara stated "They match your eyes."

Meg obeyed placing down the chosen shoes.

"My nose will simply not looked refined." Amy declared staring at herself in the mirror.

"I like your nose." Beth mumbled from her spot on the bed.

Clara thought all her sisters were beautiful.

Except for Jos clothes those were weird.

Clara picked up a container of rouge lying on the vanity and began to apply it to Jo's cheeks. Jo leaned away still continuing to curl a strand of Megs hair.

"I already feel stupid let alone do I want to look it." Jo spat. "oh come on you could be pretty if you tried." Amy stated sitting herself down on the bed.

"Is it supposed to smell like that?" Beth questioned Jo's hair curling techniques as the smell of burnt feathers lingered throughout the room.

"It is not supposed to smell like that Jo just doesn't know what she is doing." Clara accused walking over to the two to inspect Megs hair.

"now watch I will take this off and you will see a perfect ringlet." Jo stated slowly un wrapping her hair

Burned.

Jo had burned Megs hair off.

"My hair!" Meg ran up to mirror and began to whimper "My hair is spoiled!"

"You shouldn't have asked Jo to do it." Clara spat beginning to brush through Megs hair to try and fix the mess.

"I'm sorry." Jo repeated stepping away from the scene Megs locks still in her hand.

"Marme!!" Meg screeched a single tear falling from her eye.
