"It is so hard to go back to school after such hard times!" Meg stated the March sisters were out shopping getting supplies needed for Beth while Jo was taking Amy and Clara to school.

"Oh how I wish it was Christmas everyday." Clara said her mind wandering to the bright decorations and gifts from Aunt March.

"Or new years how exciting would that be." Amy replied looking at the blonde.

"We are a bunch of ungrateful Minxes." Jo declared causing Clara to let out a gasp.

"Jo don't say such things." Meg stated looking at her sister in disbelief.

"I like strong words that mean something." Jo said watching the way her boots made footprints in the snow.

"Well I have to go back to school and I don't have any limes." Amy whined.

"limes?" Meg questioned looking at the blonde with bangs.

"The girls trade pickled limes and Amy has none she owes ever so many limes." Clara explained "I have many limes though." she pridefully smiled.

"Will this do?" Meg asked Amy handing her a couple of coins. "Thank you!" Amy gasped gratefully taking the coins.

"I know what it feels like to want things and feel less then other girls." Meg sighed looking at the excitement in Amy as she examined the valuable silver in her hand.

Amy then turned towards Clara "Between this and the drawings that will wipe out my debt."

"What drawings?" Jo asked looking from the snow to her sisters.

"Nothing!" both Clara and Amy quickly said in unison.

"i'm just glad mother doesn't make me go to school with all those girls." Beth mumbled crunching snow with every step she took.

The five sisters then parted their ways Beth and Meg staying together and Jo, Amy, and Clara going together. Amy then began to clean off her coins making sure they were as shiny.

"Draw President Lincoln." A girl asked Amy. They were at school and half the class was crowded around Amy trying to get her to draw something.

"No" Amy protested "Father is fighting for him."

"My father says the war is a waste." A girl argued "And we should just let them keep their labor."

"Susan it is immoral." Amy spat back dropping her stick of chalk.

"Everyone benefited from the system." Susan said "Including you Marches Why should only the South be punished?"

"Maybe we should all be punished." Clara stated fixing her hair.

"Fine. Just do Mr.Davis" Susan concluded leaning in the desk to carefully watch Amy's chalk board.

"I don't think I should." Amy hesitated to pick up the piece of chalk that lay just beside her.

"I'll wipe out your debt and give you five more limes besides." Susan smiled knowing how many limes Amy truly did owe her.

Amy sighed and gave in. As she began drawing the cartoon version of Mr.Davis the real Mr. David came walking over to the group of giggling girls causing them all to scramble back to their seats.

"Miss March?" Mr.Davis spoke sounded a bit taken back as he caught a glance of the image Amy had created.

Clara and Amy had somehow found themselves at the front of the Laurences mansion.

"Hello there are you ladies hurt?" Laurie asked staring at Amy who was crying her eyes out at the moment. You can say Mr. Davis wasnt very pleased with Amy's drawing.
